Lovers of food, wine, trees, the wind, the arts, new places, interesting dialogue, and our Toddler son .Most of our time is spent in Healesville in the Yarra Valley. We discovered airbnb whilst traveling and think it's a great way to stay.

While very welcoming, I would mention that this is certainly not a place for anyone with a fear or dislike of dogs!
George is very playful, but my wife found him a bit too intimidating.
Other than that, who wouldn't want to stay in the house of an acclaimed winemaker?
Basic appartement well located in Healesville.
Kate and her family made us feel welcome, but the presentation of the property could be improved. This was our first Airbnb and felt that it was very basic for the money. The cleanliness could have been better, but the bed was comfy. The location being walking distance to the main street is their biggest asset.
We were quite comfortable in the room thank you. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was quite new and very clean. The position was perfect with easy access to the Main Street of Healesville.
Kate was an honest, down-to-earth and honest host. We loved how she took us in with ease. Her relaxed and friendly manner made us feel very welcome. We also loved the private room with a big comfy bed, and the separate bathroom/adjoining space. The complimentary wi-fi was a bonus. It was simple yet wholesome.
Kate's place offered a lot of privacy in a very central location in Healesville. We loved we could walk to restaurants, cafés, etc. Kate is friendly and laid back, which we also appreciated. Kate warned us about her dog, but I think we were still a bit under-prepared. My only concern for other guests is that they be prepared to contend with the dog every time they leave or arrive at the house.
Staying at Kate's place was exactly what we wanted - a clean and comfortably bed on which to crash after a wedding nearby. The room is private and separate from the rest of the house, the centre of town is around the corner, and Kate (and George the dog) made us feel very welcome.
Kate and her family immediately made us feel welcome. The room and bathroom were perfect for our overnight stay; the bed extra comfy and the bathroom clean and warm.
Right in the middle of town, it was so handy to the shops and cafes. I'd recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting a relaxed, comfortable and central place to stay in Healesville.
Our stay was the most disappointing airbnb experience we ever have had.
There was a bed, shower, jug and mini fridge provided.
We took supper and breakfast supplies with us but there was no table or chairs to sit on, no plates or cutlery or any access to a kitchen. Only one water glass was provided for the two of us not even wine glasses and we were staying in a wine region.
We had our supper eating off the floor and were forced to go and buy our breakfast meal and coffee the next morning as we could not utilise our own food supplies as there was no where to sit and nothing to eat on or out of.
The bathroom towels were extremely smelly and unpleasant and no soap at the hand basin
This was totally not a true airbnb experience and very expensive at $82.00 for 2 persons.
We do not recommend it
Kate made or stay welcoming and very easy. Excellent location, 5 mins walk from everything in Healesville. Clean, comfortable and airy. Exactly what we wanted and would definitely stay again!
Kate, Andrew and their little one were great tenants.
I found my place exactly as I left it, nice and clean. I was oversees but we still managed to communicated when needed. I would definitely entrust my place with them again!
