Vee was a great host! My wife and I had a wonderful time in NYC and were grateful for Vee allowing us to rent his apartment. This apartment is a short walk from all of Times Square. When we return to NYC we will gladly rent from Vee again.
Vee's place is sooooooo convenient! It was just perfect for what we needed it to be. Luckily it was a cool overnight stay that we had there because it only had a fan, but it worked out just fine for us. The kitchen and bath could use some updating/cleaning (caulking tub, cleaning out kitchen cupboards) and it provided no breakfast items like some other of our places have had, but again....it's right in the smack of Times Square, in a safe building with an (email hidden)d very reasonably priced!!!!!
Thank you very much!!
Well located in theater district. Apartment was just as promised. Would stay again.
Location was the only good thing about this apartment. However our experience of the apartment itself was very disappointing. When we arrived the room was not ready. The room was very dark and cluttered with unneccesary bits of furniture and all the drawers were full of the owners things so there was no where to put our clothes. We were disappointed in the level of cleanliness, you could not see in the mirrors and everywhere just looked as if it needed a good clean, Whether this was due to the poor standards of the cleaning company used by the owners or just that the appartment had not been cleaned for a while we dont know but we do know it was not cleaned to our standards. The worst feature was the bed which was very uncormfortable due to a sagging lumpy mattress that needs replaced. All this did not detract from a good time in New York.
if you want to live the time square experience, this place is the perfect compromise, you are in the heart of time square; the flat is really quiet but small...
We were traveling with our five months old daughter for few weeks in the US. While looking for an hotel in Manhattan, a friend of us told us about airbnb and we decided to give it a try. The apartment of Vee and Zee appeared to be more than perfect, the location is unbelievable - turn left and your are in time square, turn right and your in Rockefeller center, and still the apartment is quiet and cozy. Vee & Zee are very nice and willing to help and make you feel at home. We will go back there again for sure.
New grandparents have high standards when it comes to accommodations while visiting their grandchildren in NYC! Vee Zee's studio not only met but exceeded our expectations by being exactly as described and pictured.
It is remarkably quiet, and this despite being half a block from the NE corner of Times Square (must be the Duo-pane windows facing East)! Comfy, great night's sleep on a comfortable mattress, great for recovery from jet lag. Eateries galore: Our faves were Fresh & Co for breakfast on fair-traded and locally-grown ingredients and a sandwich to carry for later in the day. Next door is Dervish with a reasonable 3-course pre-theatre dinner and a $16 Turkish-style Sunday Brunch self-serve spread. Every Broadway show is within 3 blocks ... and many at half-price if you buy from TKTS half a block away two hours before the show starts. Amazing!
But best of all for us was being able to catch the F train at the end of the block and be at our grandson's family's apartment in Jackson Heights, Queens in 20 minutes! We're so looking forward to reprising our stay
Location , Location, Location. If you want to be in the heart of NYC then this place is fantastic. Just a few feet from the door and you have two great pubs. Across the street is the 24 hour grocery. Down the block is times square , need I say more... It was nice to shop and drop stuff off at the apartment and then go back out and continue to shop or stroll the streets with out lugging by purchases all over times square.
I did not spend much time in the apartment except to sleep. It was nice to have the kitchen but I only used the firdge to keep leftovers and beverages. The apartment is quiet as advertised. I was comfortable in the bed as I was going all day and night, by the time my head hit the pillow I was fast asleep.
I spent 2 days here and I would consider staying here in the future for a longer time if it is available. The host was responsive and easy to work with, however I really did not need anything once I get the keys but knew they were available if I needed anything. Thanks Vee...
Vee and Zee's apartment is the perfect place to stay if you're visiting NYC. I stayed a week there. Perfect location - literally half a minutes walk from Times Square. It's clean, comfortable and quiet and the hosts are only a phone call/email away if you need anything.
I would definitely recommend this apartment to potential visitors.
Vee was really helpful, accomodating and a great host. His place is clean and comfy, the location was perfect for us visiting the big apple just for the week-end.
Thanks again for having us Vee!
Vee was a wonderful guest. She was quiet and considerate and left the space clean. She is welcomed back anytime.
Vee was great to have and her dog was as cute as they come. Very easy going and self reliant. I would have them back anytime and would recommend to anyone.
Vee and Zee were the greatest! They were totally chill and relaxed and completely took care of themselves, complaining about nothing (even though a loud truck came and emptied the cesspool while they were sleeping and there was a bit of chaos in the house that weekend.) They came equipped with insider's knowledge of where to go and what to do: they rented bikes on Shelter Island, visited Murph's tavern, and hopefully made it out to Montauk. They left the room very clean and even shared their beer with me. I would love to have them back.
