Hi. We will meet you at any time of your arrival to give the keys. If you require more information, feel free to contact us.
for a one-week-stay we chose Loras "nice double room" in Forest View Road,
London E17,4EL because we wanted to be not far away from Chingford. Maybe
that Lora got beautiful locations, but the room we received was in fact and
regrettably neither nice nor for two persons - rather for young stopover
backpackers. If it would be in your interest I will prove my rating with
details and photos.
Anyway - for us the most important point was the place, site or location of
the room (Westbury Rd. E17 6RH). It was unfortunately a good distance away
from the the location we booked -- a pity, or more precise : unexcusable.
Nice place and clean room for cheap. You can get to the center on 20 mins but each subway ride is 4 pounds. Nice kitchen and has a small garden if you smoke. Use the upper floor bathroom as the middle one does not lock.
I spent two months at Lora's Walthamstow location and could not have asked for a better stay. The house has everything you need and is only a few minutes walk to the central tube, overground and bus station. It is a very safe neighbourhood with a street market two feet from the house every day and a mall just around the corner. Since it is a big house there are many people living there, but as long as you enjoy meeting new people like I did then it's not a problem!
Lora was always available if needed and resolved any issues at the house very promptly.
If you are looking for a convenient and affordable stay in London (in zone 3) then I highly recommend this house!
the room was fine (attic - sloping roof & not like the picture showing here now) however the house itself needs completely redecorating. the stairs are narrow, small steps & a tad dangerous as its very dark in the hallway with dark brown varnish & dark brown carpet which are old & a tad loose, the stair case rail at the bottom was rickety & falling apart. the rest of the house was taken up with long term boarders, they were all friendly but i felt a like an intruder. the kitchen was very grubby & i am glad i was not having to cook there. the shower was working but no hook so had to hold it to shower. Lora & her husband were very nice & he carried my case up the stairs for me & said i can call them anytime. i have no complaints just leaving the comments i was asked to make. i would not recommend this area in the dark or at night but i knew this having been born in E17 & do come back regularly. wi fi is only downstairs, not in any upstairs rooms which is a pain if your needing it through the day or night as you have to go downstairs every time. none of the above is dreadful just my opinions.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Our stay in Lora's home was excellent! Lora`s husband met me near the tube station. Moreover they suggested me to stay in another better house in Leyton. The house was very good, my room clean and big. Also in the house were hairdryer and washing machine which are very important for women :) We liked area, the house is situated in the central line, 25 min from the house to the central of London, there are 24 h buses and tube station is very close. Also don`t worry about cleaning your room and new towels- they suggested all this things but for me it was easier to do it by myself.
Value was good, but the property we stayed in (Not the one listed, but one in Leyton) had a few issues.
The bathroom was flooded the whole time, so had to be careful when entering and couldn't wear socks!
The back door doesn't lock, or not easily.
And a few other minor issues.
It started off a bit off since we were moved from the original location but it ended up being epic. We were a 5 minute walk from a tube station. The house was roomy and the amenities were quite accommodating. The host picked us up from the tube station and gave us a quick orientation of the area. All in all, it was a great location and the people we shared the house with were a lot like my girlfriend and myself so we all got along wonderfully. It made our New Years experience as well as our first time in the UK a very memorable experience.
Although she changed location upon arrival and took me to a place which was a tube stop after, from which I had booked. But it was a nice detached apartment just by a high street. Would recommend her if you already know London a bit.
