Luxury Villa In Downtown Charleston.
We had a fabulous stay in Charleston and our room was a huge part of that. The room was bright and peaceful. It was tucked away down a cobble stone alley, but still close to the hustle of King Street. It was clean and in a great location. So much better than a sterile hotel room! I would definitely stay there again.
Loved staying in Maybre's beautiful space. The high ceilings and open design made for a great feel.
Nice location near some fun restaurants and shops, and a reasonable walk or very quick drive to downtown.
Communication was prompt and coordinating details was smooth. I would definitely stay here again.
We stayed in this lovely little villa in the north end of downtown Charleston for 3 nights. It is a good location since MUCH of Charleston's hopping night lift has moved north and is just a few blocks away on King Street, and the place was very clean and had a really fabulous courtyard. The only detraction is that the suite is set up ideally for 2, and we were 3 people (who let the senior have the lovely bedroom on the 2nd floor) -- it would even work fine for 3 if the single was downstairs. Very secure, easy keyless entry -- we never actually met Maybre, but check-in and check out were super smooth and it was great to have codes rather than keys to fumble with to get in. I would stay there again if we went as a two-some!
We absolutely loved the house and the location. It was a perfect retreat in the middle of downtown.
I lived in Charleston for a few years so I've watched the prices of hotels go up by %200 over the last ten yrs or so. This place is a good deal. We really enjoyed this cozy little place. The owners brother just happened to be there when we arrived to help us find our way, so it worked out perfectly.
North king street has really developed so you don't have to go all the way down to east bay or broad to get great food. Enjoy
What a lovely stay! Everything was exactly as described, if not better-- a beautiful suite in a fantastic neighborhood. Great, clear communication and I hope to stay here again!
Great quiet place well located. We liked upper king better than historic Charleston. It's more laid back. There are a lot of college kids around but they seem harmless enough. The home is beautiful and the room overlooks a private pool.
Cozy space on the second floor of a renovated pool house. Perfect for a couple, as the photos show the two sides of an intimate space, complete with kitchenette, queen bed, a full closet and private entry. Clean, quiet and surrounded by buzz-worthy dining destinations on and around Northern King. We would return.
Overall, a great experience. It can take a minute to find the private house, but just follow the provided map exactly. Did not see the owner but she responded quickly to a request to turn down the heat. A clean and bright place in a great location. Perfect for a long weekend getaway!
This is a charming place. Probably converted from a carriage house into a two story apartment that shares the same courtyard as the main house. We never ran into the people who live in the main house or saw the property manager. Checked-in procedure: we had a little trouble finding the place because it was dark; it would have been nice to have some lights in the courtyard as the ground is uneven and it was hard to see the security code pad on the door. Location: situated on a quiet street but within walking distance to restaurants on King's Street; quite a bit distance to the heart of the historic district (south of Calhourn Street). Sleep: the bed is large and comfortable. Bathroom: a bit small, and the shower curtain is bit dirty; there are plenty of towels. Others: wifi works well. There is a cat in the courtyard and could have gotten inside the apartment. Some sort of alarms go off every few hours (only for a few seconds). The alarm woke us up a couple times, and we couldn't figure out where the strange alarm was coming from.
