This was the perfect apartment for our stay. Not in a tourist spot so amongst locals but handy to all the great sights. Fantastic restaurant on the corner full of locals. Supermarket and fruit shop so handy and we felt very safe wandering about here. Great communication and support from Amen and Marco, it gave us a lot of confidence in a big city. Thank you so much,! Xi
Thanks Amen for picking us up at the train station - it took out the stress of finding your place in an unfamiliar city. The location was convenient to public transportation or to walk. We also found the little local restaurant at the corner to be excellent and very well- priced. We may ask Amen for a quieter location if we return to Rome - if there is such a thing in this bustling city.
We had a great time in Rome staying at this apartment. The streets may look scruffy on (website hidden) street view but at night the shutters open up and some cool bars and eateries can be found (especially pizza formula 1 which is just down the road). You are able to get the free bus into Rome centre just at the bottom of the road if you figure out the routes. Overall good stay, thanks Amen
My mother and I stayed together in Amen and Marco's Apartment. Amen was very sweet to pick us up from the Train Station upon our arrival. The apartment is very spacious, new, clean and comfortable! It is near a University, so the neighborhood was lively, with great entertaining and dining. For us, it was also nice to be in a local neighborhood in order to get the full Roma experience. We were able to take either an easy bus or tram ride just 15min to the City Center! If my mom and I had any further questions or concerns, Amen and Marco immediately answered them with great help! Great couple and overall it was a lovely stay :)
We've had a really nice stay in Amen & Marco's flat. It was clean, comfortable and it was easy to reach the center (Bus 71 + metro). Marco came to pick us up at Termini station the night we arrived and gave us some useful informations about the flat and the area. Thanks again! We would definitely recommend this place!
Our stay in Rome (5 days) was very wonderfull.
The flat is confortable and clean. Marco came to Termini to take us (10-15min walking). He is welcoming and he adviced us for our arrival (prices of the city, location of the supermarket...). If we had questions one phone was at our disposition.
So I recommand this flat for the quality of the accomodation and for the hospitality of the renters.
thanks for the time spent at your appartment in Rome. The flat was all right, well equipped for a weekend trip. Since I had been staying for a longer time, 8 nights I have suggestions if you feel like how to make it even more comfortable for your visitors :-) A waterboiler and a cheese grater could be fine, and a hanger at the entrance, may be a citymap for the newcomers in Rome with the public transport lines as well.
Everything was in very good condition and clean, it was pleasant to have the same conditions as in the photos. The local phone is a good idea, whenever I could call Marco.
Amen thanks for Mark for the lift from/to Termini.
One really missing thing apart from this tiny iedas was the internet. For most of the people internet is an essential item. Please consider to install a router.
I would recommand the flat to everyone visiting Rome.
très bon séjour,
logement bien placé par rapport aux métros, très pratique à l'arrivée.
nous recommandons ce logement.
This is a cute little apartment in a really trendy part of Rome! We were greeted by Amen outside the supermarket next to the Terravision bus stop at Termini and she kindly drove us the short distance to the flat, pointing out some places to eat on the way. Once in the apartment we had everything explained to us and she even gave us a mobile phone to use in case of any emergencies! From the apartment you can walk to the Manzoni metro A stop in about 15 minutes or the Termini metro A stop in about 25. We preferred the slightly longer walk as it seemed a bit less dingy and Termini connects to both metro A and B so gives you more options. Saying that, its quite easy to walk to most of the sites without public transport! One thing we did read in other reviews was the noise at night and unfortunately this was quite loud on all three nights of our stay (Thurs, Fri & Sat). The flat sits in the middle of a street that comes alive at night with various bars and clubs, going on in to the small hours of the morning. Perhaps we were unfortunate that the good weather meant more people were outside, I'm not sure. I don't think the problem was helped by the double glazed window missing one side of the glazing. On the flip side to that though, if you want to embrace the night and plan on checking out Rome's cooler nightlife side then this is the place for it. There are some fantastic bars and restaurants that have a very east London feel to them! We would definitely stay in San Lorenzo again, but simply due to the noise at night, I'm not sure that we would necessarily chose this particular flat. Amen did tell us she has 2 other flats in the area so we could well be looking these up for future Rome trips :)
clean, light and comfortable apartment! very nice experience!
