Jennifer works as a county Recycling Program Coordinator. While completing a double major in Environmental Studies and Somatic Psychology from Naropa University, she overhauled the recycling program at the university, earning the apt title of "Dumpster Diva". When she isn't working she's often creating inspired assemblages from found objects. The warmer months send her careening with delight into the garden, where she grows the best tomatoes ever, which are of course, the ones you grow yourself.
Jason is an award-winning artist, specializing in oil paintings, charcoal portraits, and sculpture. He comes from the classical tradition, and does much of his artwork, directly from life, in his modest north-lit studio upstairs. When he isn't working on artwork, he is often found in the kitchen, improvising.
We are a married couple in their late 30s with a good sense of humor and a philosophical outlook on life. We grow a small urban organic garden and have a backyard compost bin for food scraps. We recycle. We cook healthy and delicious food. We practice yoga. We enjoy art openings, films, galleries, museums, and live music, not to mention great conversation.
We ride our bikes (or take public transport) everywhere we go.
We are “people” people, and have experienced both sides of "bnb'ing", both as hosts and as guests. We ran a mountain lodge Bed and Breakfast in Red Lodge, Montana in 2005 & '06 and loved it! We thoroughly enjoyed our experiences with all of our Airbnb hosts while honeymooning in Spain and Italy in 2012. We really appreciate Chicago and enjoy sharing its abundant cultural opportunities with our guests.
