I am a freelance journalist who writes for magazines and newspapers, most often about cities, media, sports, and culture. I edited "A Detroit Anthology," which is a 2015 Michigan Notable Book. I am also the director of applications for a program that renovates longtime vacant homes in Detroit and gives them away to writers, for keeps. I have a bookish but outdoorsy personality. I also enjoy cooking, jogging, yoga, hiking, cheering for Detroit/Michigan sports, bike-riding, playing games with my nieces and nephews (or anyone, really), and generally wandering around. I spent many years of my life in co-ops and intentional communities, so I'm pretty experienced with communal living etiquette ... a valuable skill-set in the AirBnB universe!
