Lester was such a wonderful host. He's quick to respond to our questions, very accommodating, friendly, and gave good suggestions on anything Austin/SXSW. My friends and I enjoyed our stay in his place. Even though the room was small, the bed and pull up couch were very comfortable to sleep in. The bathroom was clean and the house was overall homey. Parking was easy (we parked on the street), and the house was conveniently located near South Congress (3-5min walk). It was also just a few minutes cab ride away from 6th St (~$10). My friends and I all agreed that if we're ever in Austin again, we'd want to stay at Lester's.
Great experience! Awesome host and great location! Close to everything. I highly recommend Lester for your next trip to Austin.
Good vibes, friendly hosts and the happiest puppies - that's what Lester's place is all about. I had a short, but sweet stay during SXSW and really appreciated being able to return to a chill spot to both work and decompress after.
Lester was super-helpful and made sure I knew he was available if I needed anything. I wish I had more time to hang out, as the conversations we had were really positive.
The place is old-style, but tidy and organized. There's also a patio out the back. There are all the usual amenities and did I say... Puppies?!
Being only 20-30mins walk from the Convention Center was radical, no dealing with traffic for you! In all, I had a great time in Austin.
It's experiences like this that make me choose Airbnb over hotels. Lester and his girlfriend Jesse made me feel right at home. I couldn't have asked for better hosts! The location is perfect for people who want to be able to have a good time. There's so much within walking distance or a short drive/Uber lift away! The space is eclectic, the room was clean and the bed comfortable. I'm glad to have stayed with these guys and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!
Was in town for a conference at the Hyatt Regency, and this place was perfectly situated to attend, with a pleasant walk down wonderful South Congress past all the cool shops and friendly bars each day.
The room was clean and comfortable, with plenty of space for a single traveller, nice bed and ceiling fan & air con to keep out the Texas heat.
Lester was a very friendly and welcoming host and made every effort to make me feel at home, very knowledgeable about the area and was genuinely interested in making sure I had a great time in Austin.
I would definitely recommend staying here, and if I come back in town will certainly look into staying here again.
Lester wasn't at the house the weekend that we stayed, but he was very communicative and available for us if we had questions. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The location is quiet and within walking distance to food and shopping. 6th Street and Rainey will probably require a short cab ride. Thanks for everything!
Lester was very informative and hospitable. A great resource being an Austin native since the 90's, he provided a wealth of information about the area and had great recommendations of sites to see.
The room was just as described. Small room in a cozy house. The bed was comfortable and the place was cool the whole time even in the hot August Austin climate.
I would recommend Lester and his place to any of my friends.
Also, I highly recommend taking advantage of the b-cycle program in Austin. Much like City Bike in New York City, you can pay $8 and rent a bike for 24 hours, you just need to make sure you check in at a bike station every 30 minutes. There is a station a couple blocks away from Lester's place and from there you can go to Barton Springs, Congress, the University of Texas, Rainey Street and all of Sixth street. If you are by yourself and active, there is no better way to experience the city then riding around IMO.
The house is well located (just off SoCo), clean and cool (which is a life saver in the summer). Lester is a real champ. He always made good recommendations on places to eat, drink. He even dropped me of a one of the restaurants. Cheerful, kind and accommodating, Lester makes for a top host.
Lester was great - so friendly and helpful and fun to be around. He made me feel very welcome and gave me great tips for my time in Austin. He's one of those people that are just instantly likeable! I loved the neighbourhood he's in, there's great food and interesting shops and either a 4 or 10 minute walk to catch the bus to town depending on the bus you catch. I had the best time in Austin and Lester contributed to this - my only regret is that I wasn't able to stay longer. Thanks Lester - hope I'm able to come back in the future!
Lester was incredibly helpful and flexible. He checks us with us to make sure we have everything we need.
Lester was a great guest in our home. It is unfortunate that we were only able to host him for one evening. He is very personable, respectful and has great stories. Because of this we stayed up a little later than anticipated enjoying his company. Thanks for the great experience!!
