I am so sorry to Emer , she is a very nice landlord, but our mistakes cause some misunderstand, we didn't take care of her house, this is my first time to rent a house to enjoy holidays, it also will be the last time, I don't want to make any troubles in a foreign country because of the different culture , and our behavior don't mean disrespect . anyway, this is a very good house.
We were 8 people on a business trip to London and we stayed at Emers lovely place. We had such a good time. Very clean and spacious apartment and Emer was very welcoming even though we arrived later than expected. The neighborhood is nice and calm but still located close to everything. All in all: VERY recoomendable!
Our stay in London at Emer's house was an exceptional experience. Emer is a lovely, warm, welcoming and conscientious person who met us at the property and made sure we knew how everything worked. She was also available by phone/text throughout our story. The house itself was better, bigger, brighter than the pictures suggest. It fit our group of 8 people (including a toddler) more than comfortably. The upstairs living room is huge and bright and was a great area for the toddler to play around. As the title of the house suggests, the showers and bathrooms overall were amazing and the water pressure exceeds any other place I've stayed in London before (and I used to live there for 9 years). The neighborhood is lovely, with a park right next door that has a cute little coffee shop, and plenty of amenities close by, including several grocery stores along with small shops and eating choices. It's also a five minute walk to the London Overground (Hackney Central) as well as several bus options to get central. I highly recommend Emer's place for a stay in London. You will NOT be disappointed.
Thank you Helene. It was a pleasure to meet you all too.
That is a really good place. Just 3minutes away from the hackney central overground station and about 8 minutes away from the Burberry outlet. The house is very very nice. Just like the pictures show you. Emer is very kind. Our flight was cancelled so we had to stay in the house for two more days. However, the house needed booking at least for 3 days. When I told Emer that situation I was facing, she quickly changed the requirement. Hope you guys have a good time in this house as we did!
Emer was a wonderful host who went out of her way to make sure we had a great time. She helped us arrange airport transfers, met us at the house upon arrival, and even stocked the refrigerator with bagels and orange juice for breakfast the next morning. We were a group of 9 adults and her lovely home was more than spacious for all of us. The neighborhood is safe and quiet. With an Overground station a short walk away and several bus stops nearby, it was so easy to get to where we wanted to go. There is also a park next to the house, and there are two wonderful weekend markets (Columbia Road Market and Broadway Market) that are a quick bus ride or a leisurely walk away. There's a huge Tesco and a Sainsbury's nearby too. Overall, a great stay. Thank you, Emer!
We really enjoyed the stay. The host was very welcoming. The house is big, comfortable, and has everything needed. The neighborhood is very nice. There is a big and green children playground close to the place.
Emer was a great host. Great communication, met us the first day and told us where to go and also left us some staples in the fridge which was very helpful. Apartment was very clean and had 2 living areas. It was within 5 minutes walk of both a supermarket and train station. Woukd stay here again. Thanks emer
Emer was a great host! The place was wonderfully, had plenty of rooms, beds, and space for the 8 of us traveling. Beds were just right, there was plenty of pillows and towels for everyone. Perfect location for catching local transportation, the bus and overground were within 3 minutes. Would most definitely stay again. She even had juice and bagels for breakfast for us.
Emer responded quickly and efficiently to all our queries, prior to our arrival. We were met at the door by Emer and her lovely daughters, who took time to show us around the area. The house was beautiful. Clean and spacious, we very quickly felt at home and were proud to entertain our new daughter-in-law's family to dinner. The kitchen was a joy to cook in.
In a quiet street, we soon learnt to find our way around and travelled in to central London almost daily.
As we were 3 generations under one roof, we needed space and privacy as well as communal space to be together and Emer's lovely home accommodated us all beautifully. We were sad to leave.
We so appreciated the attention to detail. Thank you Emer. Our once in a lifetime trip was more than we could have wished for.
This house is so nice!! It's very modern en has everything you need.
With the overground or underground you're in 20 minutes in the city.
Emer helped us with everything. Thank you very much for the lovely weekend!
Emers son stayed with us for a few nights and he was an absolute pleasure to have. We would absolutely host him again and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone on airbnb.
Ever booked the room for her son, who was lovely!
We did not see him much but when he did it was a pleasure.
Emer was a very pleasant guest. She communicated well was on type and was very friendly.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Emer's beautiful Sutton Place home when we were there for SciFi London Film Festival with our film Radio Free Albemuth. Cosy, chic, comfortable, charming - and then some. A 2 minute walk thru the churchyard to catch the London Overground or a bus. Plus nearby shopping and cafe's and restaurants - fish and chips to fancy. Hackney is a bit like NYC's SoHo or Tribeca and LA's Silver Lake. HIp - but not too trendy. Great area.
As for the house itself. - we fell in love with it. Beautifully decorated, all the comforts of home with none of the clutter, a zillion marble bathrooms ( actually I think 4) Tempurpedic mattress in the master and several patios, terraces for outdoor living. Emer has given her artist/writer touch to this home and there's an exquisite little library for your reading pleasure -- one of the reasons we hardly ever turned on the flat screen tv. There are all kinds of little touches throughout the house that make staying here special e.g. adorable coffee and tea service, pretty serving platters, Various nooks and crannies you can curl up with a book or a cuppa. Also - kitchen great for cooking and there's a wine chiller in the kitchen. Loved staying here. We were a couple, but with all the floors it would be ideal for a big family or several couples to rent the place. Lots of privacy.
