I'm a thoughtful and tolerant spirit, with a warm sense of humour, who lives on the isle of Islay, Scotland, famous for its malt whiskey, beautiful coastline and friendly people. I work as a teacher of English and some theatre for younger students. My favourite places include Barcelona, Lisbon, Paris, Tavira, and south India. I hope to go to Argentina and Brasil before my teeth fall out. I'm an independent traveller and my favourtite expression is: "When the axe came into the forest, the trees said the handle is one of us."
I'd be a considerate guest and very respectful of your home and life as I hope you would be of me. I'm clean and trustworthy and want to have a wonderful experience. Music, film, art and literature are my passions and I have been thought of as a very decent cook of Indian food and would be happy to share recipes. I prefer quiet to noise; although I've got joie de vivre and am sociable, mostly the only thing keeping me up at night is a trip to jazz or blues club or fulfilling conversation. (My French and Spanish is mostly instructional and questioning. Or even questionable.) A la vida.
