We stayed one month in Anna's and Fonzy's apartment with my husband and 19month old daughter. Even if the flat is small we still had plenty of room. You've got all the necessary stuff available with nothing extra taking space.
The apartment is suitable for a family. The house has an elevator that can fit a stroller and there's enough room to store it inside the flat. No need to even fold it!
Our daughter enjoyed the bathtub and large sofa.
Location is great! And the hosts very helpful and nice. If we ever move back to USA we'll surely book this one again.
had a great 5 week stay at the apartment. everything was as described.
Anna and Frantzy are great hosts. I was met when I arrived and shown around the apt. Everything worked great. Only drama was when I locked myself out, but they were super responsive. The location is ideal for midtown access. The bed is excellent and the layout of the apt works well. Wifi is excellent. Highly recommended.
Although I did not meet Anna in person, she was very nice, left the keys with a friend of hers and it was easy to get them.
The apartment is very nice, we stayed for 49 nights and felt as if we were at home. The pictures describe it very well.
The place is fabulous, with supermarkets, restaurants and a subway station just a few steps away. And is very quiet.
I sure am coming back.
Thank you for everything, Anna.
My sister and I were visiting New York for the weekend and just needed a place to spend the night. Anna and Fonzy's apartment was exactly what we needed! It was very close to two subway stops and to central park, which was great and made everything very easy for us.
Fonzy met us at the apartment to give us the keys, and was very helpful and nice. The hosts were very easy to reach and were very helpful!
We had a great stay!
The apartment was well located in the heart of New York. The metro stations were very close (in walking distance). The apartment is big enough for at least two people, it was clean and anna was very responsive. We recommend this place to other travelers!
Great location and great apart! I will come back next month!
Great location, just around the corner from the metro.
Host was punctual on the keys delivery.
Apartment is simple but nice.
After many years of travels around the USA through AirBnb and regular B&Bs, I can easily say that this apartment is one of the worst we’ve ever been into. It’s crumbling, to say the least.
Let’s start from the constant smell of gas coming from the stove; not only it’s very unpleasant, but it’s also extremely unsafe. All the more if you consider that it’s almost impossible to wind the room because all the windows are stuck.
Don’t even think about bringing your kids to this place. We were all adults and we survived – maybe slept a little longer.
Second, the refrigerator. Yes, it makes noise and yes it has a light but…it does not chill. We tried all possible adjustments of the temperature knob but finally we had to give up and we threw away all the food that we carried with us.
What is the purpose of having a “kitchen” if you can’t store your food?
Shall we talk about the greasy, unusable pans and casseroles? Or the pre-WWI microwave?
Of course the TV isn’t connected to any kind of cable service, but who cares, you are in the City and here for tourism not to watch TV, right?
The bath tub is completely scraped, but at least it works.
What I don’t understand about all this is that there is an easy fix to everything (change the gas pipe, recharge the refrigerator, etc.) it’s just a matter of spending a few bucks. After all, hosting people requires some effort, I believe. And by the way, we were not expecting to stay at a luxury hotel.
I understand that the real estate market in Manhattan is crazy but there should be a minimum of decency even if the rent you ask is cheap compared to the others and you are a young couple trying to survive in the urban jungle.
My feeling is that the hosts just threw some random second-hand Ikea furniture in an unlivable apartment and now they are just trying to make money out of it.
Don’t trust the photos they put on the website, they are completely misleading.
Simply do a favor to yourself and avoid it until a true renovation will be done
