Hi I'm Ann and I'm from California near the beautiful city of San Francisco!
Traveling is my passion and my inspiration in life. I love exploring new places and meeting all kinds of people from around the world. I love learning about different cultures and traditions, especially discovering fun and unusual customs and festivals that are unique to where I'm visiting.
As your guest, I will be very respectful of your space. I like to adventure during the day, and if the day blends into night and I end up enjoying the night life into the wee hours of the morning, I will be quiet when I return home, so you won't be woken up in the middle of the night:) I like seeing new places through a local's perspective, so if you have some free time and want to show me around, or give me tips on places to see and restaurants to eat at, that aren't in the guide books, I welcome the advice!
So you can get to know a little bit more about me, if I had to choose 5 things I couldn't live without, they would be (in no particular order):
-People to share/experience life with (Family, Friends, Boyfriend, New Acquaintances, etc.)
-Music! (Concerts, live music in any form, listening to songs while on the move or working out, finding new bands to listen to or hearing a new song I instantly love)
-Delicious food and equally delightful drinks (beer and wine preferred)
-Nature (going on hikes, laying out at the beach, having picnics in the park...)
-A good book to get lost in
I also love going to art museums, especially contemporary and impressionist art, and taking free walking tours, if available, of the cities I visit, so I know the historical significance of the buildings that surround me because I find history fascinating. If there are cool hiking places or outdoor activities near where I am visiting and I have time during my trip, I would love to take a day trip to do these types of things:)
Finally, if there is a quote that I live by it is this, "What you leave behind is not what is engraved in stone monuments, but what is woven into the lives of others," by Pericles, because I think life is about making memories and sharing experiences with others!
