This is a nice house in an up and coming part of Philadelphia. Easily accessible to SEPTA and walking distance to the northern liberties where there is some great food. Ula is a great host and I had no issues during my stay.
Comfortable, easy access and close to my workplace.
Ula's place is super cute and comfortable. We had a nice stay. The neighborhood has fun restaurants and bars. The garden is an added bonus. Ula was kind and very communicative.. Recommended for sure!
My wife and I stayed with Ula for the weekend. We were visiting friends, so we basically only slept & showered at Ula's place. She was quite welcoming, her home was clean and comfortable, and everything went very smoothly. She happily accommodated us when we could only arrive after 8pm on Friday evening. Her garden area seemed very nice (the weather was beautiful), and if we'd spent more time there, I would've loved to sit and have my coffee in the sun. If our friends weren't moving away from the area soon, I'm sure we'd happily stay with Ula again.
Ula was a lovely hostess and everything went smoothly. Cute place, easy and accommodating. I recommend her place!
This accommodation was excellent. Great location just outside the trendy Northern Liberties, Philadelphia. Located down a quaint very quiet ally the home outside and in was decorated with care and style. As soon as we entered the access ally I felt very comfortable. The garden was very nice and clean. I love Ula's sense of decor. Meeting with Ula was a pleasure though brief. She talked with me how airbnb works and how her experiences being a guest and host have been. I felt an immediate sense of honesty and acceptance in to her home. If I return to Northern Liberties for business or pleasure and need accommodation I'll will again request Ula's "Philadelphia Hideaway with Garden"
Ula's place was nice, but she was not there when she said she would be. I left her a note saying I would like to meet her, she did not let me know when she was arriving and she was apparently there for the part of the time but never told me. She did not leave me a towel, and later accused me of "stealing" her art paper which was from the doula training workshoppe I was there attending. There are no grocery stores in the neighborhood and I was chased down the street by teenage boys, so I did not feel safe in the neighborhood. Not recommended for single (attractive) women. I had a friend walk me home because I felt uncomfortable at night, later she complained that I let a "stranger" into the house!
Ula's place is very sweet and welcoming, she works in NYC some days so we only caught each other briefly a few times in passing, but I wish I gotten to know her better because she seems like a very warm and unique individual. Her place was perfect for my visit, with a private room. Highly recommended!
Nice place, clean neat and well located in the NoLibs area! We ll be back!
Great little spot in a fascinating neighborhood. Philadelphia's Center City "scene" keeps migrating north, from Northern Liberties, through Fishtown, into Olde Kensington. Ula's place is on a quiet block within easy walking distance of one of the city's more vibrant areas. For an architecture buff, it's a treat to stay in one of Philadelphia's unique "Trinity" houses.
Ula was very accomodating with my travel plans and totally respectful of the house rules. Great guest.
Great guest! Thank you for staying!
I didn't feel comfortable with Ula. She was dishonest in financial dealings. We agreed upon a certain amount and then days later I found out thru ABB that she had only paid a portion of that. In her review of me, she complains about me having to go through her room to access the bathroom but I TOLD her about that before she came. In her review she acts like it was a surprise. Will not rent to her again.
Ula has a great laugh to go with her smile and her warmhearted spirit. She's quiet, always aware of others around her and goes about her business unobtrusively: a perfect guest.
