Dan's place was perfect for our group. The checking in and checking out process couldn't have been any easier. He was also very attentive to any questions and was prompt with any communication and responses. The place was very nice and spacious, even for a group of guys. Everything was as we expected and as advertised (even the blow up mattresses were comfortable). Would definitely check to stay here first on my next NYC adventure.
Lastly, the location was phenomenal, walking distance to the high line, MSG, and metro access. The hidden gem is the roof top access where you can see the Empire State Building, MSG, the Chrysler Building, and the One World Trade Center.
Had a great time in Daniels apartment - good location, easy access and clean.
The apartment was clean and perfect for a couple. The location is great.
Great apartment in a very good location. Was very nice to stay there, no complaints!
Very well located appartment. Everything went ok to get the key. The owner met us at the appartment after a few sms.
But if you arrive at New York Penn Station, dont take a taxi, just walk. its only 4-500 m from the Station. The taxidriver was very angry that he had to drive us this short distance even when the rain and the Wind was Heavy. A good appartment Choice
I have mixed feelings about this apartment. There's a lot of good but also a lot of bad.
- incredible location. 1 block from Penn Station/Madison Square Garden, walking distance to Times Square, Empire State building, Grand Central Terminal and more. Supermarket down the road.
- Cable in lounge and bedroom
- full kitchen
- lots of space for 2 people
- we arrived at Penn Station (1 block from the apartment) but had to walk 6 blocks and back to pick up the keys. Had to drop them back there too
- apartment looks much more worn than in pics
- hallway smells like weed constantly
- huge dramas getting the WIFI password
- we arrived to 3 sheets of toilet paper, had to go and buy our own straight away
- a lot of vey loud traffic noise particularly at 6am when cars start beeping at each other
Overall, you can't beat the location of this apartment but I wish we had have paid more for a better apartment.
NOTE - a bad review was left about me as a guest by this host less than 15 minutes after my husband and I posted the above review. He even resorted to name calling!!
My girlfriend and I stayed at Daniels listed apartment last minute and were happy we did. After having problems with another listing we came across his space and booked for 4 days initially. The space is perfect for a couple or a single person and after a day or two it had such a homely vibe on us that we were sad to leave. When our 4th and final day came around NY had a bad snow storm and weren't able to travel back home so Daniel was more the gracious to let us go on a day by day basis at that point until it was safe for us to travel. He was very flexible with checking in and out. Even thought we didn't have the pleasure of meeting Daniel personally, he was very kind and understanding with our situation. We loved the space and would recommend it to anyone looking to stay.
Great place, great value. As a former New Yorker, who knows what the city has to offer, I was pleased with our stay. The apartment is a good location and a pleasant size with all the amenities you need. Dan was helpful and considerate. Thanks! I miss NYC already!
This apartment was a great stay for a long weekend in NYC. It had been cleaned beforehand, it was the perfect size and those windows! I've shared some images during my stay on my blog: SimplyChels, post: Air BnB Experience
We did have to walk down a few blocks with our bags to get the key so leave some time to drop it back off when your leaving. It wasn't too bad but taking a cab might be helpful. We underestimated how far it was especially with our bags and the cold weather. Overall, Daniel is easy to get ahold of, helpful and attentive to your stay.
The location was perfect, super close to Penn Station and all that Chelsea has to offer, the Chelsea Market, the High Line and all the shops and cafe's around. If your looking to stay here, you can see some of my favorite places on my blog: SimplyChels, post: The Places I Met & Liked in NYC
Most of these are in walking distance from this apartment.
This apartment is a great choice for experiencing New York City. It was my first Air BnB and I couldn't have been happier. I loved being close to the action but far enough to feel like I was living in the city for a few days. Thanks Daniel!
The location is excellent. The flat is very convenient and has all you need in everyday life. Daniel is kind and helpful still very discret not bothering you during the stay.
We really felt like at home. We were very happy of our stay.
