I live in the Pittsburgh area and have several city view properties in Mt. Washington with city views.

The apartment was filthy. It hadn't been vacuumed. The vacuum in the apartment didn't function. There were emptied yogurt cups in the kitchen cabinets. There were candy wrappers and almonds on the floors.
The cable and internet were not connected so we had 3 channels, one of which was a country music video channel. We contacted the manager and he said there was an outage in the area. We contacted the cable/internet company. There was no outage. We purchased internet directly from the company for the week.
The stairs leading to the apartment are not safe. The block stairs from above are not fixed and they're also crumbling. There is no handrail. The stairs to the lower parking are steep and not well-constructed.
The washing machine is coin-operated. The dryer is free but sometimes does not work. It is also very loud and is shared with the upstairs tenants. We didn't have a problem with the other tenants.
The photo of the deck is misleading. The deck is covered by another so it is shaded and there are supporting posts. The view is very nice but somewhat blocked. There were styrofoam take-out containers (used) and other garbage on the deck and under the lower stairs.
There were boxes being stored in the closets. There was left-over food in the refrigerator and cupboards.
There were no outside garbage cans, so garbage had to be stored in the apartment until pick-up.
The wall paper in the bathroom was peeling and there were mildew patches on the ceiling.
If we could have found another place to stay we would have.
I arrived in Pgh and received the wrong code to the lockbox that housed the keys. An hour later I was provided the proper code and was able to get into the apt. The cable and internet were not activated. I contacted the property mgr and he assured me Comcast was working on the issue. I stayed a week, the cable and internet issue was never resolved. Some of the neighbor tenants are extremely rude. Renters are supposed to have access to parking in the front of the building, the tenants raised a stink when we parked there, so we tried to avoid conflict and parked in the back. The stairway to access the apartment from the rear was horribly constructed. The second step at the top of the stairway broke and my friend narrowly avoided serious injury, barely catching himself before he fell straight through, luckily, he is very athletic, if my girlfriend or myself would have been in his position, we'd have ended up in the hospital. Thus, we had to begin parking in the front again, and face the wrath of the angry troll who lives next door. I would not recommend staying in this location, while the view is wonderful, it and the kitchen are it's only desirable accommodations.
A perfect place to stay when visiting Pittsburgh. Good facilities and a very helpfull hostess. It is located in a very nice neighborhood and of course has the most stunning view of downtown Pittsburgh possible.
Great view! Very clean, comfortable apartment.
Simple and easy instructions and interaction.
Key was left in a lockbox, replaced it when leaving.
The apartment was clean and functional, with incredible views of the city at night.
