Recently relocated back to Brisbane, I lived in East London for 2 years and loved every minute of it.
I'm in my late 20s, and love nothing more than traveling and meeting new people - so much so that I decided to become a travel agent (for about 9 months) when I returned to Australia!
I have quite a few friends still spread across the UK and parts of Europe, so I enjoy heading back and visiting both my friends and UK/Europe as destinations - I love the cooler weather, the 'always something going on' vibe, and the melting pot of different cultures, lifestyles and people all in close proximity. Proximity...something Australia (although beautiful) can be a little challenged on! :)
When I travel I sometimes need a holiday at the end of my holiday; I spend my time mostly out and about, experiencing everything I can. So I really like to have somewhere a little bit cosy and homely to rest and recoup at the end of the day.
I also love to share my experiences, so I often like to travel with others - but when traveling solo, it's often nice to not just go home to a hotel room. Which is where AirBnB comes in! I would really love to stay with people who have a similar outlook to me, and don't mind sharing the occasional cup of tea in the morning or maybe even a glass of vino in the evening!
My favourite places in London are Victoria Park, Hackney, Brixton, Islington, and Hampstead Heath, and although it definitely has its foibles, I have to say I do love the tube!
Feel free to get in touch if you have any queries about me as a guest. :)
