Andrew stayed at our 'Cozy Cabin' during a very cold spell in February. Two days prior to his visit, all systems were up and running. Unfortunately, upon his arrival, the gas heating system had failed and Andrew's group had to rely on our fantastic wood stove, which is a very adequate heating system for the cabin. Our maintenance man fixed the problem with the gas heater right after their stay.
We are sorry that his group had to experience this but such is life in the NorthEast during this bitter cold winter.
As for the stove, not sure why he wasn't able to use that because it was never broken and works just fine.
Cell phone reception is spotty because we are in the valley but we have never had a problem with communication and our guests. I do believe Verizon works better.
The television does work but there is no cable as stated in our description. Most people if using the tv, use it for watching dvds.
I would suggest that this group may have been more comfortable in renting a more expensive condominium up on the mountain.
Very nice guest. Interesting and curious. It was a pleasure to host Andrew and his friend, who are very easy going.
The apartment was left very clean.
Andrew was a great guest who was really interested to talk to us and to learn about our everyday lives and culture. He was also clean and attentive. We got to know him quite well as he was staying one week and I can clearly recommend him as a guest!
