Great apartment superb location with lovely balcony overlooking piazza and harbour. Marcella was there to meet us and gave lots of good local information. A great experience we loved every minute of our stay thanks Marcella
We stayed 2 people, one night in Marcella's apartment in vernazza. The location is simply one of the best in town. The apartment is clean and was very comfortable to stay in. We can highly recommend this.
Cannot beat this location! As other reviews have said it is loud at night and there is no AC- so if noise is an issue and if you're not comfortable with earplugs or bringing a white noise machine, not the place for you. Vernazza was our favorite of all the cinque terre. If you're comfortable renting a skiff in the harbor I highly recommend it. The water is the best way to view the towns. Two last things about the apartment: No beach towels and bed is quite hard. These should not be deal breakers though. The place is ridiculously fantastic.
Marcella is a wonderful host. Our train broke down, forcing us to miss our connection in Vernazza by two hours, but Marcella took it all in a stride. We had no problems getting in and settled - she was helpful, kind, and laid back. The apartment is BEAUTIFUL. Perfect views of the water, the piazza, the countryside.... truly amazing. The only thing, which I think was mentioned before, is that is a little noisy. People tend to congregate right under the bedroom window at night - but Marcella provides earplugs if you need them and it does feel like a small price to pay.
On short notice, my fiancée and I stayed for one night in vernazza. Right from the train we meandered through the colorful petite town and into the main square. Within a couple of minutes Marcella greeted us with a smile at the cafe near the apartment. The apartment was spacious, clean (especially bathroom and shower), and had a wonderful view of the water, main square, and the hill side. The decorative and artistic touches were very pleasant. The only drawback, as mentioned by previous reviews was the noise. Being a Friday, the locals were kicking back and having a few drinks. With earplugs everything was perfectly fine. Definitely recommend this apartment for future stays.
This was probably the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in. In the middle of Vernazza's adorable town square, with a balcony that looks out onto the whole square and the seaside, the location could not be any more incredible. The apartment inside is very spacious, clean, and full of light. The kitchen also comes with a supply of teas, some coffee, and a cookie jar! We got engaged in Vernazza, and we had a magical few days here, enjoying everything we possibly could around Cinque Terre -- the hikes, the views, the sea, the food, the wine... And this listing made it all the more special, and we couldn't be happier with it. One night we opted to not even go out for dinner, and instead brought some food in, so that we could sit out on the idyllic balcony eating and sipping wine as the sun set. Marcella is so sweet, accommodating, and helpful. If I could come back here every year, I would. It was hand's down one of the best vacation spots I've ever been to.
Just as so many other reviewers noted Marcella is a wonderful host meeting us promptly at a very easy to find location at the time we desired. She showed us around the lovely apartment that is intelligently supplied with little extras you may need. The view is just gorgeous and it was so much fun to open the windows and feel the ocean breeze and hear the sounds from the square. She gave us a nice recommendation for lunch. We also enjoyed eating at the Pirate restaurant and the hike to/from Monterosso is worth the inevitable sore calves. The only downside was the noise in the nighttime. The apartment is one floor up and directly on the square so the music from the nearby bar and the boisterous revelers until early morning hours was a bit hard to sleep through even with the windows shut. Light sleepers beware. Otherwise it was perfect. We had a great visit.
Marcella's apartment in Vernazza was lovely—even nicer and cleaner than it looks in the photos. The location couldn't have been better: a balcony overlooking the main piazza, with a view of the cliffs, the ocean, and all the restaurants below. We were convinced that there was no better place to stay in town. Our flight was cancelled, so we ended up having to pick up the keys from the restaurant downstairs because Marcella was out of town, but it all worked out just fine.
Marcella was a fantastic host! She was communicative with us throughout the planning process, and greeted us upon our arrival to Vernazza with a big smile. We absolutely loved our stay at her place for the following reasons:
(1) The location was superb! It was so fun to be centrally located in the very tiny town square AND to be directly next to the water. Waking up to the lapping waves of the Mediterranean was a dream come true!
(2) The apartment was clean, spacious, and really well appointed.
I would highly recommend this listing and Marcella to anyone interested in visiting Cinque Terre!!
Excellent accommodation, fantastic location. Clean, spacious, and better than expected. Felt like we had the best possible place in Cinque Terre. I would highly recommend this rental. However, as the bar below can be a bit loud at night, I would suggest bringing earplugs. My husband and I had them and we slept just fine! Cannot say enough good things about this place.
