I am a professor of hospitality, a business consultant, a Charleston city councilman, and a partner in a restaurant in Myrtle Beach, SC.
I'm happily married, with two beautiful twin girls, aged five.
I don't smoke, and drink alcohol responsibly (despite the twins...).
Besides my family, my other passions are international studies as well as history: I'm the president of the SC Battleground Preservation Trust as well as the vice president of the Fort Sumter Fort Moultrie Trust, two groups dedicated to preserving components of our state as well as our nation's history.
I typically travel to Myrtle Beach on the weekends to interact with the restaurant. My style of travel is pretty low key; I usually come in the evening and like to relax by running, reading, and watching TV.
I was raised to treat everyone with respect, and am very considerate of other people.
Interesting facts about me:
1) I started a coalition to successfully stop a residential development on top of the graves of Civil War solders on Morris Island, SC.
2) I grew up with Stephen Colbert. I teased him through a mutual acquaintance; he later burned me on the Colbert Report.
