In third person:
Melita Rowston has wanted to be many things; a painter, an actor, a designer, a director, a playwright and a novelist. She has been good at some of these things and not very good at some others. She has also been many things she didn’t really want to be.
A graduate of VCA (BFA-Painting ‘97) and NIDA (Grad Dip-Directing ‘00), and UTS (MA, Creative Writing '10), Melita has written for, directed and dramaturged for many independent theatre, dance and cabaret productions, is a journalist, a freelance copywriter and marketing and communications specialist.
In first person:
I like looking at things. My favourite colour is red. I like micro-brewed beer, red wine, basil and cheese. I like brightly patterned material, history, good fashion, leather boots and jasmine. I'm also very polite, clean and trustworthy and I choose to damp dust over swiping at ornaments with a feathered stick.
