Katy has been an incredible host and I had a really good stay at her apartment. The location is perfect, at the centre of Castro but yet in a quiet street. The apartment is larger than it looks in the pictures, it's really cozy and confortable. Katy has been very kind and responsive during the whole stay.
As soon as I entered Katy's lovely studio I felt at home: important when you're staying in someone else's place. All the directions Katy had given me were perfect so checking in and out was so easy. The studio is so well placed for travelling around San Francisco as a MUNI station is only a short walk, and with a 7-day Clipper Card I travelled all over the city for an amazing total of $32! Good places for breakfast are everywhere in the Castro - but I found Spike's for coffee (only about 300 yards) the best way to get me going in the mornings.
The bed in Katy's studio is super comfortable, so once I was over the jetlag I slept really well. The studio has everything you need, and is in a quiet building, and I'd definitely want to stay here again next time I'm back in San Francisco. Thanks again Katy for your always friendly and prompt messages.
The studio is absolutely beautiful and in a great location. Katy was a very helpful, friendly and accommodating host! I highly recommend this as a place to stay!
Katy's place was fantastic! Close to everything, clean, and stylish. My husband and I rented a car while we were in town since we had a wedding in Sonoma to attend and street parking was absolutely not a problem. The place is even nicer in person than the pictures show. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants to be right in the heart of things in San Francisco. We were able to walk to restaurants, parks and coffee shops with ease. Great trip!
Great, clean apartment. Excellent location with plenty going on around it. Most importantly the apartment is a 5 minute walk from the underground muni trains which get you anywhere in the city. The host was also very helpful and accommodating.
Thanks Katy, I really enjoyed my four night stay. The apartment was very comfortable and just as it was shown in the pictures. Only a couple of blocks from the Castro (restaurants, groceries, coffee shops, etc) while also very quiet. Katy was very responsive and helpful in getting everything set up. Her kitchen is stocked with all you'll need to prepare meals if you decide to eat in. Muni is close by which makes it easy to get all over the city without worrying about driving. I fully recommend her place and hope to stay there again some time!
Katy was a fantastic host. She was very quick to respond to all of my questions and to finalize the booking. We got in a bit earlier than expected but she was very accommodating and greeted us with a smile when we arrived.
As a former San Francisco resident, I can say the information she provided on where to eat, shop, drink, etc were all spot on. :) We would definitely book with Katy again!
Kathy's studio is fantastic!
Cozy but big enough, clean and comfortable with great details everywhere you look. The location is also great, you can walk to so many bars, coffee shops and restaurants... I highly recommend it!
Katy's place was playful and well designed. Located in a wonderful area, groceries, nightlife and transportation are all easily accessible. All-in-all my stay was super comfy and I had a great time. Katy was attentive and communicative, and the logistics of checking in and out were seamless. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend the apartment.
Katy's studio is great! The pictures don't do it justice, it is much bigger in person. The kitchen is spacious and a nice spot to eat breakfast before heading out into the city. The location can't be beat! It is about a block from the heart of the Castro nightlife, walking distance from Mission Delores Park and the Mission, and about 2.5 blocks to the F (above ground) train, the muni trains, and a plethora of bus stops. It's also very close to 18th street where it is easy to grab a cab. While there isn't a coffee maker in the apartment, its a half a block from Spike's coffee shop, which is amazing, so have no fear--your caffeine fix can easily be taken care of. While the apartment is very close to the Castro nightlife, it is very quiet in the apartment--we stayed there on New Years Eve and hardly heard anything going on down on the street. The apartment takes a little while to warm up after turning on the heat, but we were there during one of the coldest months of the year, which may explain why.
Katy is very communicative, accessible, and helpful--overall a great host!
It was fun to host Katy and her friends. Communication with Katy during the reservation process and their stay was easy, which is very important. Katy and her friends visited Sonoma for wine tasting, and I appreciated they stayed at my cottage for their wine country experience. I would love to welcome Katy again.
Katy and her partner were the type of guests you wished you always had staying! Great fun and enthusiastic. A pleasure having them.
Katy is also an Airbnb host, which made coordinating with her nice and easy. She contacted me on behalf of her parents who were visiting for the weekend. They were excellent guests and I would definitely rent to Katy and her family again.
