A beautiful small house where we felt at home from the first day. Very nice and helpful hosts. A good place to explore the Archipelago and Stockholm from. Tall people watch your head in the house ...
Wow -- what an idyllic cabin in a picturesque town! We feel so fortunate to have found Sofia's little oasis. We stayed for a week, enjoying fires in the fireplace each night, long bike rides (on bikes that Sofia was generous to let us use) every day and delicious meals at adorable local spots. Sofia and her family could not have been kinder, more patient or more gracious hosts. It truly was a perfect vacation, thanks in great part to Sofia and her cabin!
The Bakery House is super cute and fun to stay in. The house is comfortable (just watch your head since the ceilings are low!) and the pictures summarize the experience well. Sofia is a very welcoming and helpful host. She dropped off breakfast items, offered us bikes, and met us at the dock upon arrival. The house in a not within walking distance of the main harbor area but she has bikes and the bus can get you there quickly. Even though the area is very residential and quiet, there is a grocery store and pizza place within a minute of the house. I recommend staying here!
we stayed for one week in Resarö and enjoyed it very much: Sophia's old bakery house is lovely and cozy. it is a very good destination for both - having relaxing days at the house (e.g. on the sunny deck) or as starting point for day trips to Stockholm or to the archipelago. The infrastructure is perfect: good transport connections for an easy get away (bus), a supermarket and a pizzeria just around the corner. Sophia and her husband are very nice and helpful. They gave us several tips and hidden gems and also offered us their bikes. So if you plan to spent some relaxing days in the area of Stockholm and the archipelago, we highly recommend Sophia's cottage.
We had a thoroughly delightful time staying in Sofia's cottage. It is quaint and charming, the old community bakehouse, with the big brick oven still in the kitchen. Just watch your head, as some of the ceilings are low. It's the perfect place for a restful get-away for 2, and you couldn't ask for a more friendly, helpful host than Sofia. She is a wonderful person who helped us with anything we needed. We relaxed, borrowed Sophia's bikes, walked around Vaxholm, took a ferry out to Sandhamn, and went into Stockholm a few times. On her recommendation, we had dinner right in the neighborhood at one of only 3 certified home restaurants in all of Sweden, Husmor Lisa. This was a meal that rivaled those in Stockholm's best restaurants, served right in Lisa's home. Before you arrive, ask Sophia to help you make a reservation. We highly recommend Sofia and her cottage!
Wonderful and quaint cottage in a cozy village! Sofia and her husband were very friendly hosts. Sofia was available to pick us up from the Vaxholm harbour and bring us to Resarö, very close by. The cottage is beautiful with a lot of personality and a excellent way to experience Swedish tradition first-hand in this peaceful village by the water. Very accessible to Vaxholm by bikes (generously lended to us) or buses that run regularly. Can highly recommend staying here, you will surely not regret your choice! Tusen tack Sofia!
This little old cottage is truly wonderful. With many cute details and neatly furnished, we has a great time here. Having a BBQ on the terrace in the sunset, or waking up to the sound of the birds outside - it was great!
Also one should mention the old Pizza oven that can be used to make own Pizza!
Sophia and her husband are very nice and helpful, and we were allowed to borrow their bikes to enjoy the island.
All in all, a really great place to have a nice, relaxing time in the wonderful Swedish nature. Hope to be back soon!
We had wonderful days here in this charming cottage out in Resarö. Perfect area to chill or for exploring the archipelago. Excellent connected with public transport. groceries store is nearby. Even it was still not summertime, we enjoyed sitting at the deck having a barbecue with a beer in the sun.
Sofia was away when we were there but she prepared everything perfect and supported if there was a need.
Fantastic! Already telling all our friends here in the States if they should ever travel to Stockholm, it is worth venturing outside the city center to stay here. Everything about this place was idyllic. Beyond the wonderful cottage itself, the easy public transportation, the walking paths in the nearby woods, the easy route to Vaxholm all made it the perfect place to stay. The cottage itself was delightful, very clean and had everything you would need. We were sad to leave! Sofia is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome and gave us great insight into the area and the house. This place was amazing!
Really lovely cottage, very cosy. The perfect getaway for relaxing. Sofia was friendly and helpful, and the house easy to get to from Stockholm. Highly recommended.
It was lovely to meet Sofia and family. They were lovely guests and would look forward to a return if they came back to Mallorca. We would recommend them to any other owner.
