I am hard working and love life. I also look after and manage self serviced apartments
Very nice and convenient apartment in the middle of Melbourne. Debra was very attentive with all the detail about the apartment and make sure everything is going ok. The apartment is clean and tidy and feels like home which is a nice feeling especially at the end of the day when you just want to feel comfort.
A lovely central city apartment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would stay again.Debra was very helpful and friendly.
Great location, comfortable accommodation, great communication. Debra is a great AirBnB ambassador.
What a great location in a fantastic interesting building. So many outstanding restaurants virtually next door. Apartment was perfect for 2 - would be cramped with more. The kitchen is fully equipped and the washer/dryer was so nice to have. In summer if the pool is in use, late night noise might be an issue, although we did not experience that. Walking distance to everything - no need to buy a transit pass.
Because the apartment is in the same building as Quest Gordon Place, the Skybus transfer will drop you off (at the corner of Little Bourke and Exhibition) from the airport and pick you up in front when returning, which is so nice!
No WiFi. There are solutions mentioned in other reviews, but sadly at the end of our trip and with US phones, they just were too complicated for me. If you have a world (unlocked) phone, I'm sure that getting the modem from Vodaphone nearby will work just fine. There is free WiFi around town and we utilized that.
Debra was a dream to work with as far as booking the apartment and answering the many questions that I had. She has a great book in the apartment with information about the area to help also. Would book this apartment again if I were ever to be so lucky as to be in Melbourne again.
This is a jewelbox of an apartment in what might be the best location in Melbourne. Minutes from Parliament station, Chinatown and some of the poshest restaurants in town (Longrain right next door!). The tram is almost at your doorstep as well as a gelati and organic foods store to die for. Gorgeous parks just blocks away. The apartment is stocked with everything you could possibly need and Debra goes out of her way to make sure your visit goes well. She even supplied toys for the night our grandson stays over! No wifi but that is easily remedied with a quick trip to Vodaphone four blocks away for a cheap portable prepaid modem. The building has character to spare PLUS a pool and weight room! We stayed a full week and wished we could have been there a month. Don't forget the front door entry fob! We were there over Easter weekend when the hotel that shares the building went on holiday hours and the front doors were locked more than normal. This is perfect for two people; do-able but a squeeze for more. You won't regret staying here!
(email hidden) was as advertised. Clean and well presented with all that was necessary for an independent stopover. Location is excellent, with the tram stop nearby at the end of Little Burke St going north to Nicholson St, Melbourne Museum, Gertrude St and Fitzroy and south down Burke St and all areas of the city and Southern Cross Station for easy connect yo the Skybus. The pool was a great bonus. Close by are numerous great cafes. We loved Urban Deli in Lonsdale St. Overall a good experience.
Debra offerd us a wonderful, memorable opportunity throught the use of her Godon Street apartment. She was incredably helpul, and the accommodation was first rate. It was the perfect location with top value for the cost. She provided assistance above and beyond our expectations.
Hugely convenient in a really great area of Melbourne if you are a visitor interested in great restaurants, shopping and sight-seeing. The actual accommodation was a bit of a downer especially if you cop the pull out sofa bed. The establishment is a historic building a still bears some of imprints of its poor origins as a home for the "deserving" poor, and later on for old men. But the water is hot, the linens clean and the location as I said cant be beaten.
Host: EXCELLENT! Deb was very attentive (via email) up to and during my stay, making sure I had everything I needed.
Apartment: A very nice 1 bedroom flat, perfectly located at the top of the Central Business District, but also very quiet and peaceful. Easy to get taxis or a simple walk anywhere. Great access to trams, restaurants, Yarra Riverfront, etc. I walked everywhere. Treasury and Fitzroy Gardens are a five minute walk.
I usually stay in business class hotels, and let's be fair: the flat isn't up to that standard. I smacked my head on the cabinet EVERY time I used the kitchen sink, but the overpriced hotel a block away wouldn't have a kitchen, would it?
I give the apartment (and the host!) great marks. A clean, comfortable, safe flat at a good price.
I found Debra's place at very short notice through Airbnb for a two-day stay for my in-laws. Debra was very friendly, informative and easy to deal with. Instructions provided were very helpful. The building complex itself is just gorgeous, with all that brick work. The apartment is in a fantastic location, right in the heart of the best parts of the Melbourne city centre. My in-laws found the place very comfortable. I would definitely recommend Debra's place to anyone looking (email hidden) to stay in the city.
