Debbie was there to receive me on time and gave me a tour of the house and the room. The room was tidy and there was fan in the room to keep the room cool during the hot Melbourne nights.
The reservation was canceled 20 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
After the shock of finding out the toilet is actually an outhouse we settled in really well and practically had the place to ourselves for 2 weeks. Debbie was really helpful and we could contact her easily if we needed anything. Once you find your way to the tram it is in a really good location to get into CBD too.
Debbie was quick to respond and answer any questions prior to my arrival. She made me feel comfortable and was very friendly. Great location for traveling into the city. Also a short walk from some really nice cafés.
Debbie is a fantastic chill host, with a very 'my house is your house' attitude that is just really relaxing. I really appreciated Debbie's considerate and intuitive vibes, she has a very valuable skill in making her guests feel totally at ease.. and this makes the little hidden gem in port melbs my personal favourite place to stay in aus!
I had a great time in Port Melbourne. Debbie is a great host, always nice and helpful! The apartment is in best location tram it takes only 10 minutes walk away.Recommend this apartment for a short stay. You got everything you need - kitchen, bath, your own room, a great host and so on :-)
Staying at Debbie's was exactly what I needed. She lives on a quiet street, the room is a very nice size and Debbie was a very kind host. And there is an orange tree in the back yard!
I rented a bike and found it easy to bike around Port Melbourne and into the city.
A humble abode -- a quiet, safe sort of area, 15-20 min walking distance to Bay Street, and right next to the Shambhala Center on Salmon Street where we needed to be. If you're looking for cheap and cheerful, this should do the trick for you!
We had a very pleasant stay in Debbie's Hidden Gem. She's a very kind and welcoming host, we really enjoyed to be her guests !
Her house is situated in Port Melbourne, close to the sea, and about 20min by tram or by bus to the city center, so good situation !
Debbie is a wonderful hostess and will make you feel very comfortable within her home. We enjoyed chatting with her during our stay. We especially enjoyed using her juicer and blender along with full access to the kitchen! The bedroom is as pictured and a good size, the bathroom is downstairs from the bedroom. From Debbie's place you can walk to public transportation which takes you into the city, and also to Bay Street which is the main street in Port Melbourne with lots of restaurants and a grocery store. You can also walk down to the water and there is a path for walking or running. Debbie was helpful with giving us tips on things to do in the area and lots of maps & brochures. Thanks Debbie for letting us stay!
