This "Tiny House" in a "Tiny Backyard" is shaded with its own "Tiny Hemlock Grove", and it turned out to be just what Chris listed it to be. I'm a 61 year old teacher on vacation, and I had a few days to spend in Vermont. Charlie and Kirsten gave me a hearty welcome when I arrived and showed me all that I needed to know. Completely clean inside and the spotless bathroom inside the house is just across a small lawn. My Mac had no problems whatsoever picking up a strong wifi signal from the house.
I had never been to Burlington and the place totally charmed me. Get breakfast down the street at The Chubby Muffin and be sure to take some time to hang out on Church Street. It was mid April and so temperature was not an issue at all. A great experience in a nice, inexpensive, private spot.
The Backyard Bungalow is warm and cozy. Super easy to get to, close to the center. We only stayed one night and didn't get to meet Chris but he made sure we had everything we needed and his roommates were very nice. There's even a picnic table outside so we sat there for a while and basked in the early sprint sunlight! Thanks!
Chris' Tiny House is exactly as described; Cozy, comfortable bed, clean space perfect for a couple or single person. We loved waking up there and coming home to it. Would definitely stay there again.
We had such a wonderful experience in Chris' cute backyard cabin! I loved the privacy of this little, cozy room while still being connected with Burlington natives ready and willing to help us should we need. His hospitality was unparalleled. Bring your slip-on shoes to go from tiny house to main house!
I was welcomed on arrival but a very gracious host, despite my late arrival time. I was quite pleased with the excellent accommodations and the tiny house was very private, warm and spacious feeling compared to what you might expect. I wish I could live there! The larger house was easy to access and had a nice bathroom. A great experience all around. Thank you very much and I would like to stay here again!
If you're looking for something very casual, this is it. The tiny house is simply that. It's basically a small bedroom that just happens to be outside of the house and not in it. I met one of the roommates who was very nice. If you are just passing through, like me, this is a good place to stay.
The backyard tiny urban house was great! Though I didn't see the hosts much, they were friendly and welcoming. Everything I needed was accessible and the location is definitely within walking distance to Church St marketplace. Good experience overall!
Cute and clean little place and very very warm, it was freezing when I was there ! A++++
I didn't get to meet Chris, but did meet one of his roommates, who was nice. The tiny house is exactly as it's described. Despite sub-zero temperatures outside, it was warm inside due to the space heater. There were no problems using the bathroom inside. It was super easy to walk down to Church Street and to other areas of Burlington.
Nice place exactly as pictured. Given the price, comfort of the location, and proximity to the city, this place is definitely a find! I never got the chance to meet Chris or his roommates, which I considered a minus, but might be attractive to some people who are looking for privacy. The cabin was cold when I arrived, and heating took a fair bit of time because it was very cold that weekend, but once it was warm, it was very pleasant. All this being said, I would stay there again, which I think is the best recommendation!
