Lovely apartment, had a great new years eve stay. Great location, funky market street with bars and restaurants + easy transport into Central London. Perfect, thx Lucy.
Lovely space in a great East London neighbourhood for those who want something classy and off the well-beaten 'London tourist' path -- and the rooftop/view alone make it worthwhile to stay here. Be sure to stay over a Saturday so you can enjoy Broadway Market below, one of East London's cutest. Worth asking in advance whether soaps and/or towels will be provided though, so you can be sure either way, and keep in mind there is a strict "no guests" policy at this space, which may be burdensome for some.
Lucy's apartment is fantastic. Very comfortable, great neighborhood and easy to get to. Lucy made everything, from booking to picking up and dropping off the keys seamless. Thanks Lucy for a great stay.
Really great stay at Lucy's flat - didn't spend much time there but it is a beautiful place with a great roof terrace and comfy bed.
The flat is right on Broadway Market which is great for the weekend food stalls and drinks!
Great place to stay. The location is good to explore a different part of London. The flat itself is really well set out and looked after. If was great to have a roof terrace for the sunshine! Lucy and her colleagues that we picked the keys up from were helpful and able to answer bag questions we had. The market is definitely worth a visit!
Lucy's place was very comfortable and spacious. It was well decorated and I felt right at home. The roof top deck is out of this world! The location is amazing, too. Walking out into a farmer's market on the weekend was such a treat. Although I didn't meet Lucy, she made checking in very easy and was available for any questions I had via telephone and email. Thanks for a great stay!
Lucy's place was so much fun to stay in. Broadway market is a really nice area of town if you don't mind taking a bus to the rest of the city, and being on the market street on Saturday made Sat morning breakfast something to look forward to all week.
Lovely design touches and a great roof deck that looks out over the city.
Lucy's place met & exceeded my expectations though I was mostly only there mornings & late evenings. The highlight is the neighborhood & having easy access to its packed, 3-block strip of pubs, coffee shops & small independent book stores. All that said, it's a fairly peaceful place though worth noting the scents of the Saturday market do waft up to the apt. (Not a bad thing! But worth being aware.) I didn't see Lucy as she was traveling but her neighbor who runs the shop downstairs was lovely.
Lucy is a friendly, helpful and flexible host. We could come early and leave late, which was very convenient. The flat is pretty well maintained, colourful with a lot of sunlight. The Wifi signal is good.
The bed is rather small though for two people, who are not prepared or used to sleeping "cheek to cheek".
The flat is really on Broadway Market, a very lively street, with an open plan market on Saturday, with a lot of delicious food, and pubs and restaurants and grocery stores in every other building and tone of people. One can follow the happy street atmosphere from the bed, if inclined to. On top there was a private roof top party going on next door, starting late on Saturday night and lasting far into Sunday morning. So if you are a party person, this is the place to go. Otherwise do not forget to bring ear plugs.
We highly recommend the Lido in London Fields in walking distance, a public outdoor pool with olympic size (50 m), and a stroll along the Regent's Canal just around the corner. You can also rent a "Boris bike", the next station is very close, but be aware of a rather competitive biking style of Londoners and their guests, and be ready to jump out of a biker's way. Do not expect them to use their brakes.
We had a lovely stay at Lucy'flat. The appartement was exactely like on the pictures. We even used the roof terrasse a bit (the weater was not too kind). At first we thought it might be a little far from the center of the city but with buses and the underground: not at all! Plus the flat is just near the canal and Broadway market is a very lively street : food market on saturday, lots of places to hang out, etc. The risk is that you forget to go to the city because you just love it there!
Thank you so much for visiting us here at m-home Berlin. We can gladly confirm that both of you were a great and understanding guests and we do hope will visit us again.
Thanks again and come back soon.
Cheers Daniel & Svenja
Lucy and her friend have been awesome guests. Super patient with my getting started, and a blast to hang out with. I've had the pleasure of showing her various parts of Cali, and hearing about all her awesome adventures. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to host, she a gift...
