John and I met in 2005, second time around for both of us. By the spring of 2006 we had started taking regular holidays in France, usually in Normandy. We loved the more relaxed pace of life and the feeling of space you find here. So we formulated a loose five year plan to sell up in England and move to France permanently. After two years, we couldn’t remember what we were waiting for and put our house on the market!
We moved over in May 2010 and initially rented a house while we looked around. We found the house in Vimpere quite quickly and by the end of July we had moved in! The garden was a jungle because the house had not been occupied for three years so we spent the summer months tidying and reclaiming, then we spent time updating the house and making it comfortable. Now we have turned our attention to the barn next door, which we are converting into a home for us, so we are always on hand to answer any questions and for anything you may need.
We love our little part of the Limousin, we have wonderfully friendly and helpful neighbours and the tranquillity and peace is unbeatable. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do.
