Bronwyn and I recently got married this year and moved into a gorgeous apartment in Leichhardt.
We are both young professionals in our late 20's, and share an appreciation of cultural diversity (I'm an Australian-born Iranian with a German upbringing and Bron is originally from Canberra and of Malaysian-Chinese heritage), good food, travel, deep and meaningful conversations with new and old friends.
In addition to Australia, I've lived in Germany, Israel and China and have travelled fairly extensively to some 50+ countries (just can't get enough of it). Bron has lived in the Pacific (Mariana Islands, Tonga), India, and also travelled extensively. That's why hosting via Airbnb seemed like a good fit.
We're both fairly tidy and like to provide an uplifting environment for others, have regard for the privacy and space of others, but also enjoy a good laugh and chatting over good coffee or food.
I work in the digital space (many years in advertising but now increasingly working on startups). In addition to the above interests, I also enjoy languages, photography, abstract art and music. My wife works in publishing and is the more active one between us, enjoying regular exercise. We are also both engaged in community building efforts in our spare time (particularly in programmes that seek to empower junior youth to take charge of their own reality and that of their communities).
We enjoy being hospitable and love what AirBnb has done to travel.
We live in a stunning two-story apartment that is, simply put, the real deal - in the heart of Leichhardt, Sydney's inner city Little Italy, surrounded by great cafés, restaurants, galleries, great Pubs and more.
It's about a 15 minute bus ride to the CBD and there's also convenient access to Petersham train station (8 min walk).
When available, we try to provide all our guests with complimentary airport pick up and breakfast (fresh juice, eggs, cheese, avocado, rye toast, cereal, fruits and yogurt).
We love this city and know it fairly well - and when available, are happy to take guests out to see some of its delights.
