Great spot. Very clean, spacious and Nat was very accommodating.
Natalie was a great host. We booked rather last minute but she was quick to respond and had everything set for us. Once we got to her place she left us little LA tidbits of where to eat, go, etc. and even had water and snacks. Her place isn't super fancy but it is rather spacious and we even brought food to cook and were able to get around her kitchen just fine.
FEW THINGS TO NOTE: her place isn't necessarily located walking distance to any cool spots. Street parking only, we got lucky and found one nearby by but the street is rather full with cars. Her place is part of a 4-plex and the walls are THIN. She's on the first floor which meant hearing people upstairs walk around, sweeping, talking and snoring -- so although her bed was comfortable getting a restful sleep was difficult. Also in the middle of the night cars came racing down the street multiple times which didn't really put us at ease. Wireless Internet connection wasn't the fastest and we weren't able to connect with her cable tv. In the end her place served our needs for a quick one night and for that we were appreciative of Natalie.
Natalie is great. She is very courteous, polite and tidy.
The place is kept clean and Natalie leaves great amounts of information at your disposal for you to have a good time in LA and to get around the neighbourhood.
However, the neighbourhood is terrible, full of gangsters. In fact, my next door neighbour had a gang sign spray-painted on the side of his front stairway and, on the other side of the street, right across the place's front door, three candles were lit for a few nights during my stay because, according to my neighbour, a drive-by shooting had taken place some time ago !
Finally, plumbing is terrible and Internet is VERY slow and total connection losses for short periods of time, multiple times a day are to be expected.
Where to start?
The host Natalie. Shemade things very easy, super polite and friendly. Everything, from the beginning, she did in a really handy way. I felt like she was always available for my questions.
About the house...wow...has plenty of sun light, very clean, has lots and lots of space to leave your things. The kitchen is so cute! And the bedroom very roomy with a comfortable queen size bed, very friendly sheets. A very peaceful neighborhood.
The location is perfect if you want to move all around LA.
It's 2min far from Ralphs, Starbucks, and many other useful sites.
It was my first time in LA and choosing Natalie's place made it a great experience!
Natalie was very nice and accommodated to our needs.
Natalie was a great host! She was responsive, clear in delivering messages throughout the trip & her place was spacious, clean & very artsy. I would definitely recommend everyone to stay at amazing Vintage apartment!
My friend and I stayed here for one month and the apartment was spacious and conveniently located. Natalie is a great host and very helpful and prompt to emails/texts if you need anything.
Natalie's place was really convenient and she was a great host. Really happy to have found this place!
Natalie is a very professional, sweet, and accommodating person. Her artistic eye is always evident and appreciated in her photography and domestic design. Her place is always fun and well kept. I think you will enjoy a stay with her conscientious and thoughtful hosting, and don't forget to buy some ART that she hangs on the walls from local L.A. Artists. Very cool.
