Jonathan was away on vacation when we were there. We found his information about the apartment entirely honest and very clear. We were especially pleased to be able to access the apartment although we arrived at 2.30 am. Apartment was very roomy and comfortable, the facilities were excellent. There were a number of restaurants in the immediate area and we were close to the Blue Line. The street was pleasant and tree lined and the neighbourhood seemed unthreatening.
This was another great AirBnB experience! The location was simply amazing, located in a great part of town...There were so many choices for food and drink, within walking distance. It is also extremely close to the blue line...which made it easy for us to get to downtown and explore for a day.
The studio itself was also great. Very clean and plenty of space!
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Chicago area for a very reasonable price!
Host was very helpful and accommodating. Studio was a great place to stay and very comfortable.
Great accommodations and location in the heart of Logan Square.
I have stayed her before while in Chicago on business. My wife and I stayed for a 5 day vacation. Good space for both of us to hang out and even cook. We'll be back again.
Jonathan's large studio is a great home base for exploring the very hip Logan Square, and a quick and convenient "L" ride away from downtown. We really enjoyed getting up and walking to brunch in the morning (Lula's is amazing!). The studio is large and spacious, with everything you might need (the apartment was even stocked with snacks). Jonathan is the perfect host: very easy to get a hold of, made sure we were enjoying our stay and was even able to accommodate a slightly later check out time due to an online work meeting conflict.
We had a great time! The apt was as advertised and very close to the "L". There were many snacks and we felt right at home. Would def stay here again.
We stayed @Jonathan's place in the beginning of June and we liked it a lot. the flat looks exactly like on the photos. we could find everything we needed, even some food/drinks and my favorite: hair dryer. as we came from Europe, my devices for the bathroom didn't have much power with the adaptor so I really appreciated it.
Jonathan was a very nice host, he tried to help with everything. at the beginning it was a little bit cold in the apartment so we told him and he turned off the whole AC system for us.
Chicago downtown is not far, by car it took us 15 min.
there are several restaurants, pubs in the neighborhood and a huge Target 5 min away by car as well.
it's a really nice place, we recommend it for everybody visiting Chicago.
thanks for everything Jonathan!
Jonathan was a great host - he was responsive to my pre-trip inquiries and provided very detailed instructions on the apartment.
The apartment and linens were spotless (my top concern when traveling), and the AC was on when we arrived. Though we were really only there to sleep one night, I could see that Jonathan went above and beyond to provide extras like snacks and coffee.
The apartment was located on a nice, quiet street about 1.25-1.5 miles from Logan Square. Logan Square seemed like an awesome up-and-coming neighborhood, but I would definitely recommend a cab over walking if it's after dark - there are several stretches full of abandoned storefronts.
All-in-all, a good first Airbnb experience; I will definitely book accommodations through them in the future.
Response from Jonathan:
There are no 'abandoned' buildings in my neighborhood. There are a few stretches on Fullerton Ave that are quiet.
Jonathan's apartment was great, stocked with everything you need and more. I found him to be a great host- he helped us when we needed something, made his guest policy very clear and have us plenty of privacy. The location is perfect for those who want to explore one of Chicago's newest and hippest restaurants, bars, microbreweries, etc. And it's a short walk to the train that goes directly to the city center :)
Jonathan is an excellent host, He joined us for dinner and few drinks on the first night. The apartment was very clean and is in an excellent location, very close to the subway and in an area of bars and restaurants.
