My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful 5 weeks living in Edith's apartment. It was beautiful and very well-equipped, as well as being secure. The area is lovely, just by a big park and the canal, loads of bars and restaurants, with good transport links (it's just a short bus trip to/from the gare du Nord). In short, it would be a great place to stay for either a few days or few weeks. Edith herself is equally as great and her English is brilliant. Thank you!
Alice, merci beaucoup pour ton gentil message et ce commentaire tellement sympathique (and i'm happy to know my english is brilliant !!!! not so sure about it
take care, both of you.
The apartment is lovely!
Edith is very cool and will give you great paris tips!
You are right next to one of the most beautiful parks in paris, close to canal d'ourcq and menilmontant where there are fun bars and concerts, and walkable to food markets.
Edith and I communicated frequently in the weeks before our arrival. She gave clear directions, and very helpful tips.
When we arrived she met us at the door, showed us around and gave us even more valuable advice.
They place was clean and tidy, and had everything a family of 5 could need.
Overall, it was fantastic! Good restaurants and a park are a 5 min walk as well.
Edith was a wonderful host and her apartment was a great place to stay in Paris. The apartment is cute, comfortable, tidy and conveniently located. You can walk to several train and bus lines and there are parks and other places to walk to as well. The neighborhood is lively, and I felt comfortable walking around, even at night and on my own. There are many charming and good restaurants nearby, a nice grocery store across the street, and a bakery with dangerously delicious croissants just downstairs. Edith gave me detailed directions to the apartment from several locations, and gave me a list of places to go and how to get there. She was always available via phone and email if anything came up. I would absolutely recommend this as a wonderful place to stay in Paris!
Edith, a family friend, was a fantastic host during our four night stay in Paris. She gave us suggestions on where to eat nearby and in other neighborhoods, things to see and do and what to avoid.
The flat was very clean and organized, conveniently located with just a 5-minute walk to the Pyrénées Metro station, and in a nice residential neighborhood not surrounded by millions of tourists. There is a nice park across the street which is great for a walk. The building is very secure, with a code to gain entrance on the ground floor.
For those of you looking for a simple one-bedroom flat, a great host, and a nice residential neighborhood, I would fully recommend staying with Edith!
