I'm an attorney living in Minneapolis, but often have to travel for work. When on business, I have to cover my own expenses as a consultant so I frequently turn to Airbnb to find clean, quiet and inexpensive accommodations during my stay. Ideally, I'm looking to find a "regular" place or two in each city where I do business (Richmond, VA; Washington DC; NYC; Boston; Chicago; Philadelphia; Miami) to which I can return during my business trips. It's a mutually beneficial relationship! ;)
Not at all averse to friendly chatter and even sharing a meal or drinks when I'm in town on business, but I usually keep quite busy and won't have much time to interface. :(
While on vacation with Airbnb, travel tips from you - the expert - are always appreciated, as well as the opportunity to practice your language, learn more about your culture and enjoy your household. This would be the reason I opt for Airbnb and not a hotel.
As for me, I have too many interests to really ennumerate fully here: running, hiking, camping, fishing, world travel, language, opera, live music, design, gardening, composting, cooking, photography....
I have been partnered to a wonderful man for 9 years now and he may join me for some of these Airbnb experiences!
