We (both 66 years old) stayed here from Wednesday 15 April up to Tuesday 21 April 2015. Nives was our host during these days; she was very helpfull and already waiting for us in the appartment when our plane was landing at Fiuminico-Airport. With Treno Regionale FL1 it is only 7 stops (about half an hour) to Station Trastevere and Via Giovanni da Castelbolognese 30 is only a walk from that Station. The stop of TRAM 8 to the center of Trastevere and to the center of Rome is only 200 metres. On the corner is "La Bottega"where you can buy all fresh (excellent) food for your breakfast, lunch and dinner.
No negative points ?....Euh...in the bathroom a few things have to be repaired and some pots in the kitchen need a handle. We are sure those points will be solved when YOU arrive.
We had a wonderfull time in this relaxing appartment with garden in a safety and quiet surroundings.

Didn't meet Iliana, but was very kind and friendly (and speaks perfect English) over email. The place is fine - very safe and secure in gated building and convenient to Trastavere station. It is large and spacious and in a quiet neighbourhood which was great. It is a little bit far to walk to the sites, but good exercise! We used Uber a few times which worked brilliantly, but otherwise walked everywhere and clocked 6-8 miles each day!
The place could be a little bit cleaner, but overall it was fine. You can hear the neighbour upstairs wake up and walk around between 7 and 8 in the morning, but otherwise there aren't really any noise disruptions.
The Burger Factory restaurant is very good just at the corner, as is Pepito's Pizza which is a bargain and really nice and friendly service. Essenziale is a newer restaurant also very close by which was excellent as well - all these within 2 minute walk of the apartment!
We were met by Gustavo who quickly realized and remedied the fact that a bed had not been made up for our son. Even though it gets no full sun it is a cozy light apartment with a small back garden. When we were there the kitchen cupboard had plenty of essential food items like oil, salt, pepper etc. The bed was comfortable and our son slept well in the mezzanine above the living room. I probably wouldn't put a very young child up there. Everything was clean and in good order.
We absolutely loved the area and connection to the excellent public transport. Ilaria was very responsive to any questions we had.
Don't forget in Rome there is a tourist tax of 3.50€ per adult and over 10 yrs per night which is payable upon arrival into the apartment.
This is a wonderful large, comfortable, bright, spacious apartment. Probably our favorite in 4 months of traveling. The kitchen is fully equiped (lots of food too) and has a lovely dining space. Too damp and cool to use the garden during our visit but it is nice to look out the window at the inviting space. We liked the location better than we thought we would. It's next to the Testaccio bridge and neighborhood. Testaccio has a great farmer's market and lots of good restaurants. The cemetery, by the piramid, where Keats and Shelley are buried is enchanting. If you are at the apartment on a sunday you will wake up to a giant flea market a block away. It's easy to get to Trastavere and all the sites across the river, tram #8 is close and covers it. Stay here, you'll be glad you did.
This apartment is a really pleasant space to rent. It is equipped with anything you could want, and it was really nice to be greeted by cake, a bottle of wine, and fruit. It was quiet and warm, and in a residential area. The only thing that I did not like about this apartment was the location--it was much farther from the sites than I expected. We used the tram twice, and it was horribly crowded both times and could barely fit on with our stroller. If we weren't traveling with a child, the location would have been less of a problem.
Nice apartment on a good location near Trastevere station. Ilaria left all kinds of food and stuff for us available in the apartment, which was very helpful. There were some less positive things as well: no unlimited access to hot water, so we couldnt have a shower when we wanted too. The oven didnt work and there was a cat crying in front of the door during the night.
Rome has been great anyway :)
I stayed here with my 14 year old daughter and I highly recommend it! Nives was right there when we arrived and she is genuinely warm and welcoming. The apartment was exactly as described. A lovely touch was all the goodies Nives had placed on the table for us weary travellers -- a bottle of wine, fruit, Italian pastries and holiday decorations. The bed was comfy and the place was warm with a well stocked pantry. Wi-fi worked great. We had a minor key issue but Nives responded immediately and it was resolved without her even having to come. The Testaccio area is just a short 10 minute walk over the bridge and you can get to the animated part of Trastavere fairly easily as well. Right on the same block as the apartment is a really creative award-winning chef at the restaurant Fernanda -- I highly recommend this place. To get to the historic center, we usually took the number 8 tram about seven stops or a taxi (roughly 8 euros). A wonderful place to stay on all counts! Thank you Nives!
Wir haben uns in Ilarias Wohnung sehr wohl gefühlt und würden bei unserem nächsten Rom - Aufenthalt gerne wieder dort wohnen! Alles war super vorbereitet.
Ilaria went above and beyond in countless ways during our stay in Rome.
My husband and I stayed in this apartment (which is beautiful and clean!) for two weeks after moving to Rome from New York for a new job. Ilaria was incredibly accommodating, and she went so far as to help us find a permanent home in Rome - even acting as our translator while meeting a prospective landlord.
In addition - Late one evening, we exceeded our maximum internet usage, and within an hour, she brought over a hot-spot connection port.
To say that Ilaria is the perfect host is an understatement.
Last but not least, the apartment is super convenient to Stazione Trastevere, and the neighborhood is speckled with fantastic restaurants (with few tourists).
Stay here if you're looking for an authentic Roman experience, walk to Testaccio Market for homemade wine and cheese, and don't hesitate to make a new friend in Ilaria.
Carla and her family were very nice to have contact with before, during, and after that they stayed in our apartment. They left the apartment in good condition and it was obvious that they made an effort to ensure that everything would be back in its place. I would definitely recommend my friends to rent out their apartments to Carla and her family.
