I'm a student of sustainability, which for me means that I thrive on community, thoughtfulness, and closed-loop systems!
My life motto is: People need more community and less stuff.
5 things I can't live without: local/ethnic food, green spaces, urban community, adventurous escapes, local music venues
As a guest: I can't stand to have someone else clean up after me, so I keep common areas neat and tidy up before I leave. I like to experience places like a local - visiting locations for chill vibes and authenticity - definitely interested in everyday culture and what's also off the beaten tourist path. I was a little nervous recording my video - when I said I'm interested in yoga and community activation and that was it, well that's not it, but hopefully you get the picture. I recently completed an MBA in Sustainability Management from Presidio Graduate School, and now I'm working at a Dutch sustainable energy company, but I get to focus on urban projects including community building, historic preservation and creative placemaking. I meet a ton of wonderful people this way.
As a host: I want to get to know you and trust you. You'll get keys and my phone number, clean space and all the necessities. An excel spreadsheet will guide you through my favorite spots in the city, by neighborhood and activity. Plan out your stay play by play on my chalkboard. Hook your tiny laptop onto my monitor. Get flowers every morning from my window box! Enjoy the sunshine and large kitchen in my central yet quiet Mission, San Francisco apartment that's close enough to Dolores Park for bathroom runs. Take my advice for donation based yoga and the best food in the city. Trust me, you'll love your stay.
