I tried to submit this earlier, but the website seems to have timed out. I'm from Connecticut, as mentioned above, but live now in Washington, DC, where I do policy research on global warming for an independent research institute ("think tank"). I travel all over the world for work (recently to Kenya, India, Germany, France), but when I'm home I have a patio garden, and enjoy hiking, cycling, canoeing, and other outdoor activities. My mom is still in Connecticut, where she is retired from two careers -- one as a social worker and the second as a teacher. She still tutors students a couple times a week, drives cars at a car auction as a part-time job, and has an adorable little terrier named Daisy. When we leave London, we're going to spend a few days in Ireland, where our ancestors came from back in the early 1800s. I'm happy to share more information if there's something particular you'd like to know about us.
