Hello! I enjoy being outside (biking, skiing, hiking, kayaking, and gardening). My background is in soil science, farming, and the fiber arts. I love to knit, weave, spin, and felt many diverse animal fibers.

Very pleasant stay
Felt very welcome. House was just the way it was described on the website. Neighborhood was very quiet, very laid back.
Taryn is a great host, very warm and welcoming. The house had everything we needed, and we loved the eggs from the backyard chickens! Taryn also provided us with a lot of information about Eugene. We felt very comfortable our whole stay.
What a wonderful quiet and cozy place to relax and unwind! Taryn was the perfect hostess and it was easy to make myself at home at her place. I loved sitting on her back porch and watching the chickens - this was probably the most relaxed I've felt during my trip! Highly recommend staying with Taryn and her kitty, Jelly! If I'm ever in Eugene, I will definitely stay here again :)
Nice quiet neighborhood less than 2 miles west of U of O. Easy parking and very convienent to everything. Taryn was super accommodating with resturant suggestions, etc as well as generous with fresh eggs (the chickens were so cool...!). Our stay just couldn't have been better.
We found the place easily even though it was late at night. The place was clean and cozy. Communication was good with the owner prior to arrival. We were not able to meet the owner, but the house cat Jelly was sure to give us a warm welcome. We found the place clean and cozy. It was very interesting with the small chicken farm out back. Wish we would have been able to purchase some of the eggs. Thank you.
I had a brief stay at the Cheery Chicken Casa and it was great! I had to get up very early and Taryn made that very easy. Her home is very cozy and perfect for my needs. The relaxed arty decor was fun and interesting. The chickens were a distance from the house and quiet as can be.
The Cheery Chicken Casa could not have worked better for me for my stay in Eugene. Taryn went out of her way to accommodate my needs and she welcomed me into her home as if we were old friends. I found her place to be indeed cheery as described. We were ships passing in the night until we finally got a chance to chat on my last night there. What a delight Taryn is. We could have talked gardening all night. Thank you again Taryn. I I enjoyed my stay very much.
Taryn has made an incredible sanctuary for guests. I stayed for two weeks and worked 130 hours so coming home to this room was such a restful end to my days. It's very organic and peaceful and the chickens and jelly are wonderful company! Taryn is also extremely accommodating and pleasant. I wanted for nothing. I would highly recommend it!
Taryn's house is very cozy and comfortable. The bed is pretty much on the floor which is fine for me as it is what I am used to; I thought it was very comfy with a nice down comforter. I was disappointed to have missed meeting Taryn and didn't get to meet Jelly either, but the chickens are just BEAUTIFUL! She left great instructions and numbers if I needed any help.
Taryn and Scott were wonderful guests. They left the place in great condition and cleaned up after themselves. In addition, they communicated well and let me know well ahead of time what their plans were. I'd host them again in a heartbeat.
