I'm new to AirB&B but it comes with great recommendations from friends. I've "couch-surfed" both in the US and abroad before, and hosted couch-surfers in my apartment in North Carolina with wonderful friendships made. Yay! This time around I find myself looking for a few more options. I'm currently living in North Carolina, busy amidst being a pediatric resident physician at the nearby hospital but otherwise I'm generally found outside, cooking, or trying to do crafty type things with the rest of my time. I dream of traveling more! Look forward to meeting hosts and I appreciate so much the warmth of an open home.... can't wait until I can offer the same!
I'm low maintenance, don't carry a lot of baggage (materially or emotionally). I'm passionate about the medicine I study and the breadth of the world around us. Most often I'll be traveling with my dashing other half, Mike. We met in med school and he's also a resident physician but in the army. He's the one who helps me remember to take my toothbrush, and where my keys are, and has a knack for picking up conversation with anyone -- it's a very good thing if he's coming along :) If we stay in a new place we'll be up and out and about, not homebodies.
