Our family loves the environment the Blue Mountains provides. We enjoy the local bushwalks, the serenity, the vistas and the wildlife. And we're happy to share it with you.

Thanks to Keith and Sharyn for having us. We stayed at Hat Hill Cottage for two nights and had a great time. Clean and comfortable accommodation - in particular, the well decked out kitchen. I'd highly recommend this place to others looking for a few nights away in the Blue Mountains. Cheers -
What an amazing place to stay. The cottage is off the beaten track, tranquil and inviting. My wife and I spent our 2nd anniversary there and loved it! We quite unexpectedly arrived to a bottle of red from Keith for the occasion which just topped our holiday off. I recommend this place to anyone wanting some R&R in the mountains
We had a great time at Hat Hill Cottage. The house had everything we needed and was fresh and modern. Keith was very helpful to help us and allow my little kids to use his trampoline! A major plus in our household. Thanks so much Keith.
Next time we go to the Blue Mountains we will definitely stay here again.
My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Hat Hill Cottage. Keith was great to deal with right from the beginning - easy and quick communication throughout. The cottage was cosy and homely. It had everything necessary to make you feel at home - log fire, electric blankets, fully equipped kitchen. Keith came to say hi which was lovely and appreciated, but otherwise left us in peace to enjoy our weekend away. Keith offered us a late check-out on Sunday which was much appreciated, and a nice extra touch.
The cottage was beautiful, clean and ideally located. Keith gave us a warm welcome, and was a great host. Highly recommend.
Really lovely cottage, very nice host, cosy 2 bedroom with very comfortable finishings, tasteful design, great sofa. Quiet, private - great. Kitchen well appointed but no milk and burnt my hand on the exposed frypan holder. Cottage is just the top floor, but you get the whole house to yourself. Main house 100m away. (I thought maybe host would live in downstairs). Our 3yo and baby enjoyed it. Blackheath great, become very trendy since we last visited.
Would be nice to emphasise to BYO linen and towels, in capital letters, as we did not (failed to read house rules) but luckily we found them at the local vinnies for $3. Thanks, would come again :)
My partner and I spent a well needed break from the city in this beautiful, peaceful setting. We loved the cottage - it is well equipped, comfortable, private and very relaxing, especially sitting out on the balcony looking at trees. Keith was a perfect host - we had a lovely chat soon after we arrived, he responded quickly to our requests and questions and gave us total privacy. And offered a much appreciated late check-out. We will definitely be back and will recommend Mud Brick Cottage to our friends.
Agree with all the positive comemnts above! Lovely cottage in a beautiful spot. Must make special point of fantastic kitchen. It was a pleasure to use.
Feeling stressed? You need a couple of nights at Hat Hill Cottage, a charming, private, comfy cottage in beautiful, peaceful bushland surroundings, and we did see one of the resident kangaroo families on our second morning!
You feel as though you are in a real home, not a hotel room. The living quarters are upstairs so the view is into the tree canopy, and there is lovely natural light in the living/dining area at all times of the day. The kitchen is well-equipped, and has plenty of bench space and a dishwasher, which was perfect for me, as I like to cook. Comfortable large beds, with plenty of bedding and pillows provided if you take the linen option.
Though less well-known than Leura, Blackheath is a great spot to holiday, with cafes, an excellent bookshop, the Victory Theatre Antiques and plenty more to offer, as well as lovely views and bushwalks. Highly recommend the Blackheath Growers' Market too. "Local Heroes" guidebook provided at the cottage was a great resource.
The hosts live on the same property (separate house nearby) but were attentive, not intrusive, welcoming us on arrival, and then leaving us alone, but with the knowledge that they were close at hand if we needed anything. I'm already looking at the calendar to see when I can visit again. Thanks Keith and Sharyn :-).
Nice place at an isolated location.
