Keith was extremely accommodating and helpful. The room and neighborhood were both nice, and I reccomend it to other people in Boston.
Nice room in a very quiet apartment. The room itself was clean as was the rest of the apartment. Keith was travelling but had a roommate let me in. Check in and check out were very simple.
This room is very close to Harvard University. It's very clean, so is the common area, such as the kitchen and bathroom. Keith was very kind to me because I had a rather inconvenient schedule. He's a pleasant and responsible host. I highly recommend this place!
A nice room in a very convenient location for anything Harvard related. Keith is a very friendly and hospitable host. The apartment complex has a lot of students and so the weekends can be a little noisy but otherwise cozy.
Extremely convenient location close to universities. Overall clean room and a moderate level of noise. Keith was a wonderful guest, both accomodating in the check in and check out times and willing to spend time to make sure I had a good time during my stay!
Keith is super helpful and pleasant, helping with all the logistics and even the luggage when I arrived. We had a good chat and that was important for the host to make one comfortable. The location is great, in a nice quiet neighborhood. The place has all the basics (ok if you are not picky and expecting a hotel). You get a good feel of a local or student's life with communal living.
I had a great stay with Keith. The location was great as well.
Keith is really nice and friendly. The place is in a really nice location. 7 minutes walk to harvard square. The neighborhood is very charming and safe so I can walk during late night and wouldn't be a problem. The house itself is very old, so no air condition. It is as clean as any college apartment so don't expect hotel standard but it doesn't bother me. The best thing is that the bed is really comfortable and that is one of the most important thing for me. I can't deal with air mattress. Overall a very pleasant stay. The room looks exactly like the picture. Will see stay here again if ever come back to cambridge.
Keith misrepresented his room.
At 6 PM he told me that actually I will not live at the room booked and I had to join him at some other flat at Harward Street, when he lives with his flatmate and a dog. That apartment and room were in bad condition and not clean. Actually I think he gave me his own student room with full of all his stuff inside so there is no more room for my own stuff. Then he did not want to give me a spare key... but I insisted and so he gave me his own key while he shares another one with his flatmate. All communication was really strange.
I would not recommend using Keith.
My overall experience was not a positive one. On the plus side, the room we eventually got was better than the one we booked (but on the other hand when we got in the apartment we had no idea what room was meant for us, and the other roommate that was there didn't know who else is living there at the moment). The host also seemed very nice. However, the common spaces (bathroom, kitchen) were dirty. When we told the host he did clean it to a minimum, but the first impression wasn't pleasant. Another thing, I would suggest to lock your stuff when you leave it in the apartment as you don't know who's coming in the apartment (I had some stuff missing). I hope things improve for future guests, as I told my criticism to Keith and he said he would take care of things.
Keith arranged the booking for his former guest, Adam Chu, who was a great guest, polite and friendly. I recommend Adam to the future hosts.
