I cannot express enough how much I enjoyed my stay here with Isabella. She is just fantastic and is a great person. She was very helpful with getting to her B&B. I came from Pisa so I took a train, then caught the blue bus to Carmingnano, and then her son picked me up at the main square. You can walk from the main square easily, it is very close, but she has her son do the pick up if you have heavy bags because you do have to walk up some steep stairs. She offers an authentic homemade dinner for 15 euro, and let me tell you, totally worth it!! It was the best dinner I have ever had. A very very unique experience. I traveled alone so it was nice meeting the other guests at the B&B. The room was fantastic and I had everything I needed. I plan on visiting again to go mountain biking and ocean swimming. I highly recommenced!
This is undoubtedly the most wonderful stay I've had in Italy! The place is fully equipped with everything I need and provides a lot of nice surprises! The view up the hill overseeing the Tuscan area is so breathtaking that I wish I would stay there more than a week! The house is bit far away from the city, but this is just what I wanted, deep into the Tuscan heart. Isabella gave detailed instruction as to how to get to her place, and she had her father to pick us up at the bus station, so sweet! Overall, the stay in the Villa is something you will never regret!
Isabella was a wonderful host and her home is a beautiful place!
Communicating with her was very easy and we were taken care of very well. If we ever go anywhere near Florence again, we will remember Isabella, her home's huge view of the valley, the nearby bell tower that we sat to read and draw at for hours, and her delicious homemade dinner!
We had a great experience!
This place is so beautiful! The view from the houses is breathtaking. A little further from Florence than we expected but I'm really happy we experienced the true Tuscany area. Make sure you follow Isabella's directions riding the bus/train and not (website hidden) maps....it is a simple commute.
The bnb was lovely. Amazing building and beautiful location. A bit out of Florence, but Isabella gave us helpful advice to get there.
I get emotional when I think of my experience at Isabella's home. Isabella went out of her way to make sure I had a wonderful experience. She picked me up late from the airport and brought me on a bike ride to Vinci to see the birthplace of Leonardo De Vinci. The villa was magical and you must have Isabella cook for you! I adore Isabella and her wonderful family. I highly recommend booking a room if you want an authentic experience. I know I will be back to see my new friend. Hugs, Isabella to you and your family.
Isabella was a fantastic host and the B&B was absolutely amazing. It was unlike any Airbnb I have stayed in. Isabella is a fantastic cook and I strongly recommend having her dinner. Having a car is ideal for this B&B but in no way is it necessary. Isabella and her dad helped us get to/from Florence every day and we had no problems! I definitely recommend staying here and hope to return myself.
I had a wonderful time at Isabella's bed and breakfast. On our train ride over, we missed our stop. Because of this we ended up meeting later and further than I had expected, so I felt terrible and an inconvenience. Isabella's son picked us up. He was very nice and respectful. The drive up was enjoyable, and I felt as if I was taking part in a movie. When we arrived, Isabella's father was there and greeted us. He was such a fun and pleasant man. The son gave us the tour of the place and provided us some informational material.
My sister-in-law and I shared the Elena room. It was charming and the window provided a view of the Tuscan hills. Although we were there during the summer time it was nice and cool. I loved the mosquito nets - they added to the magical touch. Although pretty they did have a purpose. They are nice and big enough to cover the bed, and you will likely find yourself having to use it because we heard mosquitos buzzing around.
The following morning, we awoke to breakfast filled with their homemade jams, pastry, toast, biscuits, cereal and various drink options. When it was time to head to where all the restaurants and stores were located we walked down a path that was located immediately behind their house. At the end, you will find yourself right into town. It's definitely a bit of a workout coming back because it's uphill, but it was a fun experience none the less. We learned that the restaurants don't up until 7:30, but we found a pizza place. I think it is called Espizzidando? It was some of the most simple yet delicious pizza I have ever had.
On our last morning, Isabella's son gave us a lift again to the bus stop. I am very grateful for Isabella allowing us to stay at her wonderful villa. I would love to spend more time here in the future and definitely would recommend it to friends and family!
Isabella and her family are absolutely lovely. We had a great time at their bnb. Everyone is right---definitely have dinner there!! It was one of the best meals of our entire trip. We also met some very nice people at the bnb, and got to see the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Isabella is a true professional and a fabulous host. She was definitely the best host we had on our entire trip!
