I love also to travel, im from Asia, and been a long time now in France.
Hope that for some of you, we could maybe exchange and be friends :)
The apartment is just like the one in the pictures provided. Vincent is a very nice and thoughtful host. After my 13 hour flight to Paris, I could not reach his apartment before the stipulated time. But Vincent waited for my friends and I even though he would be late for work. I stayed at his place for a period of one month. And his kitchen was very well equipped with all the things that you can think of. The only con for me was the noise from the construction that was going on outside his place. But that is also a temporary problem. Would definitely recommend the place to my friends :)
I stayed in this studio for 2 months while doing an internship, with a colleague, here's what we think
PROs: The studio has the basic things you need, including a washing machine, the bathroom is OK and the beds too. It warms up easily, so that was nice for the winter! There are services nearby (supermarkets, drugstores, metro stations, self-laundry to dry your clothes, etc).
CONs: The studio is quite small and very dark, not much sunlight comes in since it is located in a passage. It is also at street level, so if you open the window to let some of the sun in, everyone can see inside... The neighbor is a bit strange, but we did not have any problems. There is a bar right next to the apartment, so it is usually quite noisy, and at night people used to gather at the corner right next to the apartment which made it even noisier. Neighbors from the building are also quite loud, even late at night. Also, trash containers are located at the back of the building, right next to the back window of the studio, which is not very nice.
The host arrived on time to meet us and gave us 2 set of keys since we had explained that we would be working at different places, which was very kind, and answered all of our questions prior to our arrival. However, the apartment was rather dirty when we arrived, sheets and towels didn't seem to have been washed. There were some other small issues with the studio, which he solved quickly, but could have been avoided with some maintenance...
Overall, if it is a short stay, and you plan to be out most of the time, it might be OK. If you are more that 2 people you might save money but you won't have much room. For a longer stay it may not be as suitable.
We liked the location, and had a great time. Vincent met us at the gare du nord and led is to the flat.
Everything was ok, we have found appartment without problems, Vincent´s aunt was waiting there for us. It is really small, but there is everything (washing mashine, coffeemaker and many things you don´t need during your short stay). But I was dissapointed because there was messy (in the bathroom and kitchen) so we cleaned to be comfortable. After we came back from first trip around and wanted to go to bed, we realized, that it is not prepared. Actually it wasn´t a problem, but there were no clean bed clothes. In the wardrobe, there was everything littered and crumpled in such way, that you didn´t really know, if it was used already or not..It is really not comfortable to have to smell bed clothes and guess if anybody used it already or not. Second thing is, that appartment is next to the bar, so there was noise at nights and always if you come back in the evening, there are many strange people loitering around, so we were afraid to come back later at night. In spite of these things we really enjoyed our stay, it is closed to metro, so it is easy to get everywhere.
It was a great trip to Paris. The apartment was small but very nice and clean. Vincent is a really nice host! Thumb up!
Un sejour dans l appartement tres bien et hote present et disponible au moindre probleme.
Seul bemol appartement en rez de chaussee directement sur la rue et un quartier pas tres frequentable le soir mis a part cela vincent et un hote au top.
Nice apartment, however is in the first floor. It was not so clean, but ok. Neighborhood with very strange people (18e), seems a little bit dangerous, but near metro station.
Nice little apartment close to the subway. The host was very friendly and agreeable. We felt welcomed and enjoyed our stay very much.
EN: staying at Vincent was nice! He knows a lot of the city, the room is really quiet, small but good, values its price and just a few steps of the subway (website hidden): foi bom ficar no Alex! Conhece bem a cidade, o quarto é calmo, pequeno porém bom, o preço é bom e é bem perto do metrô.
The flat was great, well located near a big supermarket and a metro station. Walkable to Sacre-Coeur as well. Bed was comfy, kitchen was fully equipped, with a fair amount of room to move around and eat etc.
Wifi was fast and easy to connect, a fair few DVD's provided, or you can bring your own, or on USB sticks. Not a great range of English language TV channels (just news), but what do you expect?!
Just don't do what we did and put the key in the door upside down, it gets stuck and took us an hour to get it out. Vincent was very helpful and was calling a locksmith when it finally came out!
Tous va bien avec Vincent!
He is a nice guy, very kind, respectful and he communicate his questions and request very well.
Always in a good mood, quiet and respects the houserules.
Vincent is an excelent guest!
