My stay with Beth was my first ever Airbnb experience. Beth was so very kind to pick me up from the airport on the day of the Boston Marathon and bring me to Salem so that I would avoid any train delays. Her central location in town made it very easy to walk back several times to drop things off, take a quick break, etc. Her bunnies are precious and I very much enjoyed having conversations with and getting to know Beth!
Elizabeth was friendly, accommodating, and made me feel at home. Most of her apartment is a bit messy (and not as clean as I would have liked) at the moment because she's in the process of moving, but my bedroom was clean and looked like the photo in the picture (comfortable bed, etc..). I slept very well.
She has two rabbits, which she frequently lets out of their cages and, although I thought were adorable, might put some people off.
The location is fantastic, a short walk to the Common.
The reservation was canceled 142 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
We truly enjoy our stay at Elizabeth's place. The house is lovely, the room is nice (the bed is awesome), and Elizabeth is very kind and helpful! Perfect stay !
This was my first time using AirBnB and it was a great experience. My daughter and I was visiting a college in the area and need a place to stay. It was perfect. Beth is very friendly and welcoming. She made us feel very comfortable and was a wonderful host. She also provided us with information around the area from places to eat , see and things to do. If everyone is similar to Beth then I'll be using AirBnB more often.
Beth is such a friendly, welcoming and nice person!! She was very communicative, and was always available if you had questions and gave great tips on where to visit, eat, hang out, etc. She even picked us up from the train and gave specific directions once we got off the bus in Boston to Salem.
My hubby and I stayed for a 3 day weekend and we had a great time! We love the history and it's a small town which we pretty much walked everywhere. We even got to bar hop, which was nice. We have hosted our place in nyc but this was our first time staying as a guest and it was a lovely experience.
The room: It's spacious, plenty of room, and the most comfortable bed and sheets ever! It's a quiet building and so we got plenty of rest! She has maps and pamphlets available to was really helpful.
Beth is so nice to offer bagels and anything from the fridge. I even got to hang out with her a bit in the living room and she's easy-going and fun to talk to. She also let you use towels and she has cute bunnies, but one was shy so I didnt get to see him much. She has really nice art hanging around everywhere and nice painted walls. Overall, a cute, cozy, comfortable place.
We felt like we were staying with a friend. which was nice and not awkward at all! You have to respect ppl's home so you should be quiet coming in late and not be a dummy by going into the wrong apartment because of her neighbor, so you should say you are a friend visiting Beth. We ask for the same whenever ppl stay at ours.
Some ppl gave bad reviews but those ppl should not be on airbnb. If you are a snob, not laid-back and expect fancy hotel, then stay at a hotel. This is a great place to stay and a reasonable price!
Location: IT'S PERFECT! Right in the heart of Salem and close to everything!!! She lives down the street from Salem Common and Pickering Wharf.
Thanks beth!!!! Hope to see ya in nyc soon :) Take care and goodluck with everything!!
Well, we never actually made it to Beth's place because of winter storms, but she was a terrific person to deal with.
Beth offered to pick us up from the airport, as our flights had been shifted to very late in the evening, making a train ride impossible. She was also terrifically understanding that we had to cancel our reservation due to the weather.
If we make it back to Salem, Beth will be my first choice!
Beth is a wonderful host! First she picked me up and drove me to her house in this frozen winter. And during the night, since we both have great interest and studying experience of historic houses, we chatted a lot of our own experience. I'll come back to Salem next spring, and definitely will choose Beth's place to stay! ps: Beth will always let you know where u can get the best food in Salem!
My stay was wonderful! Beth is the sweetest, most thoughtful person ever. She knows all about the history of Salem and shared tons of interesting facts! She even surprised me with a cake on my birthday. Not only was the location perfect, I am happy to say that I now have a new friend! Couldn't be happier with my trip!
Beth offered a very comfortable bed in a clean room, and was a warm and friendly hostess. She even offered to park my car for me (I'm not used to parallel parking!)
