This comfortable and friendly private room with private outdoor kitchen was a great way to spend a week in Aruba. The pictures were a very good representation of the space. The air conditioning made it comfortable inside at night. Outside the Aruban trade winds made it always delightful. The Villa Punta Salina was in ownership transition. New owner came before prior one left. Both were friendly, and responsive to any needs we had. They helped with our requests beyond what we expected, e.g., beach chair, snorkel, books, good street map in an outdoor comfy reading room. Pool was perfect way to start and end each day. We found a market place a short walk away called Sunny's for fresh bread each morning. Parking on the street was never a problem. I highly recommend this well located place! -ellen
We completely enjoyed our stay at Villa Punta Salina. Eager for a week of relaxation, Olivier & Mily's little slice of paradise was just perfect for us. We found the setting to be clean, quiet, and very relaxing. It is within walking distance to the beach; however, we did rent a car for the week. The pool was lovely and refreshing. We also enjoyed having the small kitchenette. Olivier was helpful in providing restaurant recommendations and directions for shopping, tours, etc. and we appreciated his responsiveness via email as we planned for our trip.
Excelente lugar para quedarse en Aruba. Oliver fue un anfitrión excelente. Es recomendable alquilar un carro.
Not the Hilton or Marriott! In my opinion it was better. My wife and I enjoy the resort when we go to them, but we remember our experience much more when we use airbnb! You get a more local experience to your vacation. Olivier was crazy! I mean that in a good way:) He was super nice and welcoming, and he will make you laugh! The rooms were super nice, clean and up to date; and very small (cozy). The grounds are very beautiful and I loved the pool! I would definitely recommend renting a car. (I think a car is a must have for a Aruba) The house is not as close to them beach as i thought it would be. Overall I give it all the stars I can! I would go back in a heartbeat and probably will (hopefully sooner than later)
Very friendly hosts! They have everything you need, a beautiful property. The walk to the beach is not too far, I walked every day. The studio is small but good value! I would stay again..
Olivier and Mily are awesome hosts and will make sure your needs are met while staying at their adorable place. The best for a great price! The pool is small but so great even after a day at the beautiful beach you can walk to! You want a pool! I was rraveling alone and really needed r&r , so tho there were other guests I was able to get quiet time in my little place and just zone out! The rooms are neat and clean, air conditioning is good. They are tiny, so not for more than 2 with the smaller ones.
Many thanks Olivier and Mily...hope to see you again!
Olivier and Mily have a beautiful villa in Aruba, and it was a great, quiet place to spend a few days. Olivier was very understanding and friendly when it took me awhile to arrive from the airport, as I chose to take public transit and it took me awhile to figure out how to get there. He also kindly agreed to drive me back to the airport to meet a friend for a fee.
The villa was located about 10-15 minutes' walk from the beach/resort area through a residential neighborhood, with a small grocery store conveniently located about 5 minutes' walk away, so I could save money on meals. As a person travelling alone without a car, I did feel slightly isolated, and I wished there were more people in the neighborhood; I felt like I was the only one out walking, and so felt a little less safe walking alone. If I stayed here again, I might think about renting a car, but not having a car is certainly do-able (it's about 10 minutes' walk from the bus stop).
The accommodations were clean and had everything I needed. I also enjoyed the little pool at the villa and reading in the outdoor common area. It was lovely. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and I recommend it!
Awesome hosts and awesome place. Olivier and Mily were very helpfull with everything. Olivier picked us up at the airport and they provided a lot of helpful information about our next destinationen, Peru.
The place was very clean and you definately get a lot of value for your money at Villa Punta Salina.
Pick this place for your trip to Aruba. You wont regret it!
I think you were unbelievably unfair in your description. And your wife being upset with your decision of the apartment still does not give you a right to unfairly disparage my place especially without giving me a chance to fix your mistake which I would have with another place free of charge,.
This is what I going to post as my review of your stay.
ONLY FACTS, nothing more or less.
I would not rent to them again and be warned. Please contact me with any details necessary.
1. Major Lack of Common Sense
By the way they paid $167 for three nights on memorial weekend. The place was very small as detailed in the advertisement with a square footage description. I also warned them in the discussion threads the place was very small.
2.Did not read the rules and regulations. As it states if you have a problem please contact asap.
THE WORST PART OF THIS DISASTER
3. Lacked major common decency to fellow man....
I believe they did not have a problem staying there the first night as I did not receive a message or complaint. The following night at 10p.m. they left as noted by the neighbor. If the small apartment was such a bad place wouldn't they have called me in the first 36 hours of their arrival or emailed me.They left very late only after four new separate groups arrived for the event of Hip Hop weekend in Miami Beach. If they had problems with Hip Hop weekend they probably should not have decided to stay in Miami Beach.
The facts as follows;
1. Never received any contact about how unhappy they were by email, text or phone.
2. The left late on the second night around 10 pm
3. The younger hip hop festival tourists arrived around 8p.m.
4. The younger tourists did not receive any complaints on noise or behavior.
5. All of the new tourists for the special weekend in the complex were 100% percent african american/black.
I will not give you my opinion as I will let you decide if these are the types of people you would allow into your establishment or visit them in their home.
