I loved to spend all night in the sanctuary. Lying in front of the fire, drinking wine ,chatting with friends and watching movies. That's what I have done in the lovely place. Feel just like home.
Day was very communicative and really helped me out last minute. His apartment is beautiful and in the perfect location. Steps away from the BART and the Mission neighborhood is so wonderful. The bed was also super comfy.
Day was an ace host. super chilled. he wasnt over bearing, though was super helpful when we needed assistance.
Just stayed at Day's place this past weekend for 2 nights. LOVED IT. The location was in the middle of everything, Day was welcoming and gracious and friendly and informative. And I loved the style and vibe of the place. Plus, great light throughout and really just a perfectly eclectic, spiritual SF feel to the place. The entire experience was soothing, comfortable and gratifying - all provided by a kind host. Would gladly (hopefully) stay again.
Day is such a nice guy, a true welcoming soul. The place is amazing and has it's own vibe. Definitely recommend!
Day's Sanctuary was a great place to stay in the mission - a peaceful haven amid the hustle. Day was a lovely host (and Rudy the dog too). Our room was really spacious and the bed was amazingly comfy. There are some great bars and restaurants nearby too. Would highly recommend!
Perfect location as it's right next to the 24th and Mission BART station. Day was very hospitable and kind. Would recommend this spot to anyone!
Day and the Sanctuary are both amazing. I felt at home, respected, nurtured and alive in this place. I will definitely stay again and again.
We came to San Fran not knowing what to expect, but Day our host was super friendly and by the time we left it felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend. Day is really knowledgeable and suggested some great things to do which made the trip even more special, my favourite being a walk through the mission and up into the woods of Buena Vista park which afforded fantastic views across the city.
The location of the Sanctuary couldn't be better, literally right next to the Bart on 24th and Mission which made getting around town so easy.
The room was spacious and clean. I'm not usually a fan of sharing bathrooms, but in the end it turned out not to be an issue at all. The kitchen is light and airy well setup. When I came down with a cold Day even whipped out the Grapefruit Seed Extract and dosed me up which definitely helped.
All in all a fab time in SF, can't wait for the next trip :-)
Day is a lovely host, and his place is very peaceful. It was a perfect refuge for us in the city while our apartment was undergoing surprise renovations. Location is about the best imaginable.
I have traveled overseas with Day and domestically and when I am in San Francisco I often have the pleasure to stay at the Sanctuary. One of the best aspects of their home is the location to the BART. From the airport I can take the train right to their home and be within steps to the front door. And because the BART is on a regular timed schedule it becomes very easy to grab the train right at the best moment. Additionally the food in the mission is delicious and access to Valencia street is a big plus. Delores park is also close by and a great place to hang out.
The energy of the apartment is grounded and rejuvenating. It's like walking into an artistic urban earth love womb. Turn on the gas fireplace and cozy up with a few candles to enjoy a quiet evening in the heart of the Mission. You're at home.
