This is a pretty nice place to stay with some limitations, which were made worse by poor communication with the "hostess." The location is good, not far from main tourist areas but quiet. There are about 3 flights of steep narrow stairs. The apartment is relatively spacious. We did not really appreciate the terrace; it basically gives views of other roofs and a few church steeples, and is scorching hot from about 7 am to 9 pm in July. The hot water worked very rarely, our showers were either cold or frigid. Annalisa was out of town for the entire month of July; the designated friend who was to meet us cancelled at the last minute and a different friend did meet us and gave us a warm welcome, but did not know much about the apartment. It took 2 days to get response to an email asking about the hot water and operation of the washing machine, and we were not told the checkout time until the last day. No laundry detergent or trash bags.
Fantastic place. This apartment was a perfect location to explore Venice from. The house itself was comfortable & quirky. The terrace has amazing views, & is a pleasure to sit out & look over the city rooftops, church & bell towers.
Our host's friend was waiting for us when we got in from the water taxi, & kindly walked us to the house & helped us carry our luggage. She was very friendly & helpful,& gave us some great local tips.
Highly recommend staying at this fantastic place in the heart of Venice.
We lived in the apartment for a week and felt very well. The reception and instructions by the host were very friendly and qualified. The location of the apartment is perfect: 5' from Fondamento novo, 10' from Rialto bridge, 15' from S.Zaccaria. The apartment is as described, the small terrace on the roof is perfect for breakfast. Partly we had some difficulties with hot water, but we are sure the host will manage that. We would be happy to come back again to this apartment for the next Biennale!
Perfect spot for myself and my two teenage sons. Central but quiet, clean and cozy. Everything we needed! Thanks to Annalisa for meeting us at the vaporetto and taking us to the apartment.
I spent 5 nights in Annalisa's apartment in Venice this June with my mother and brother and we had a great experience staying there.
The flat is in an ideal location around 5 minutes walk from the Rialto bridge and 10 or 15 minutes from San Marco and is adjacent to a nice church on a canal that acts as a landmark for finding the flat (Venice can be confusing at first!). Annalisa was a warm host who provided everything that we needed and we had no issues during our stay. The flat is well maintained and stylish with enough room for the three of us to stay comfortably; our favourite aspect of it was veranda which has fantastic views of Venetian rooftops and churches.
My wife and I were met by a friend of Annalisa as she had to work when we were arriving. However, her friend was very helpful and met us at Rialto bridge and gave us a lot of useful tourist information as well as some very good restaurant recommendations. The apartment was very good and is well equipped - including air conditioning! The apartment is in a quiet neighbourhood which you can view from the balcony. Despite being in a quiet neighbourhood you are only a short walk from the main attractions. We would certainly stay here again. Many thanks Annalisa (and Nicola) for hosting us.
Our stay at Annalisa's apartment was fantastic. She met us nearby & took us to the apartment early so we could drop off our bags. She gave recommendations for restaurants which were all amazing! The apartment itself is perfect. The terrace is fabulous & the air con was a blessing. The location is perfect, close to all the main attractions. Would stay again.
The apartment was perfect for us (three adults and a kid). It was beautifully and centrally located, and we used the terrace a lot for breakfast and afternoon drinks. Kitchen and beds are great. Annalisa was very welcoming. I visit Venice every second year for the art biennale, and I hope that the apartment is available again next time. The wifi is limited and unstable, but that shouldn't stop you from staying here. I usually stay at hotels, but this apartment made my visit the best to Venice by far.
Muchas gracias!
