Simple and cheap place, match my expectations. I dindt know was a spa-sauna since I arrive there, so cool! Perfect location for restaurants amd clubbing, and close to the subway station.
Prestation correct. Un peu crade ( pas de drap, pas de nettoyage de la chambre ) les "onsen" ne sont pas très proprEs sinon très bien situé.
Tout va bien.
liberté total et sans limite d'heure.
I had a great time staying there. This is actually a private room in a Jjimjilbang, which is a traditional Korean spa. The bathroom and shower are located in a common area. It took some getting used to, but it was a great experience. There are facilities including food and massages in the building so it has a lot.
Also my private room was great. I definitely recommend to anyone who is staying in Seoul and is open to a traditional experience.
The host made us feel welcome by emailing back and forth until we had arrived. Once we arrived, we were greeted at the front and were checked in very kindly. The listing description was fairly accurate, save for the address. There was an error in the address posted on the site, but before much went wrong I was sent an email with the correct address saving me from further troubles. As for the neighbourhood, it was definitely as expected being in the Itaewon area, and it was conveniently located just a 5 minute walk away from the subway!

Definitely one of the cheapest places to stay around Seoul, and the location is not bad considering its only a few minutes away from the subway - despite the huge and steep staircase one has to go up because this accommodation is located on top of a hill.
But the problem I had with this place is due to false advertisement. The room, it should be made clear, is located within a traditional Korean-styled spa. It is, in fact, run by the spa owners, much like a motel room. As such, I've never actually met Jae Gyu Lee, my supposed host. I don't know what the policy is regarding hosts in Airbnb, but I was under the impression that commercial places (like motels, hotels, inns and such) should be posting available rooms in different channels, not Airbnb.
However, the biggest problem with these rooms are that the guests have no private bathrooms - including showers. It is a Korean spa, and if you want to use the toilet, you have to go downstairs to the spa area. If you want to take a shower, you have to take one in front of other people who are there to use the spa. Let me make this a bit more clear for those of you who are not familiar with Korean spas (or Mokyeoktang/Jjimjilbangs as they are more commonly called here): you will have to be naked in front of other people who may or may not be naked. Every time you try to leave the room you will pass by a lot of naked old men.
The security is a joke here as well, because all it requires for a person to enter a room is to go to the counter as say a room number, and they'll usually just give you the keys without even looking at the person. This is because the person needs to return the keys to the front desk (if you can call it that) to leave the building. I've also had instances where the clerks couldn't find my keys and were panicking because they thought they might've given it to someone else.
I guess you get what you've paid for, but this was very unusual and unpleasant in my book. I've also seen many confused foreigners as they were trying to get to their rooms, with the sight of naked men roaming the floors. (For women, it would be naked women as the spa is separated by sex) The managers of the place were also pretty rude, as is expected of Korean spas. Only recommended to those who are okay with spas, the general damp, hot atmosphere of the rooms, and old ballsacks.
Room was good, service at counter not great they didn't have my reservation, the gps address took me to wrong place.
Thanks a lot, Jackson.
Very convenient great service!
