Ten years ago, Suzan Badgley, was inspired during her second visit to Bali to help support Wayan, an English-speaking guide and dreamer. He wanted to build a birdhouse and cultivate the nests carefully as to not harm the eggs and to increase the population that is presently threatened around the world. She dreamed to live part time in this paradise. They worked together to formulate their dreams.
The large birdhouse was never used for the birds as they had a natural home in a cave not too far away. Today, the Swallow Guest House is a home servicing international guests.
Suzan has learned, by working closely with the gracious Balinese people, about giving and doing for the good of "Karma".
It is small international companies founded by individuals like Suzan, that financially and intellectually assist in helping the island of Bali survive the effects of world change and maintain the rich and ancient culture so many have come to love.
