I''m an active 63-year old woman who works as an educator at a university but looking forward to retiring in a few years. I love to travel and hope to do more after I retire. I have two wonderful adult children who are on their own.
I'm a great guest - I'm very neat, clean, and quiet, and I leave any space exactly as I found it. I generally to go to bed about 10:30 -11:00 pm and I'm up & ready to go about 7:30 am. I sleep best when it's very quiet and in a dark room.
I'm also a very hospitable and friendly host. I provide a very comfortable guest room, complete with a large basket of information about Buffalo & Western New York. I've lived in Buffalo all my life so I know the area well and I can offer plenty of suggestions. I always tell visitors coming to Niagara Falls that there is lots to do and see just 16 miles away in Buffalo.
I occasionally volunteer for the local Visitors' Bureau, which gives me an opportunity to learn even more about Western New York. In addition to my job, I also run an all-volunteer nonprofit - Global African Village - which I co-founded in 2007. We do humanitarian work in a rural area in eastern Uganda. I'm also a published author.
I enjoy meeting people & hearing their interesting travels stories. I hope you'll stay with me and tell me a bit about your travels!
