iHola! Bonjour. Ni-hao?

I'm Jenny--a native Bay Area Californian. I studied English literature and graduated from the University of California at Davis in 2006. I'm an "Aggie" (nickname comes from Agriculture and Environmental Science Departments at Davis) so it's important to me to learn the land and to cultivate and protect it. More importantly, I believe we need to lead more sustainable lives and leave as little footprint on the planet as possible. Unless, of course, that footprint is love or light.

My husband, Will, is my knight in white armor--cheesy, but so incredibly true. Hopefully, he doesn't read this. The sun in my life is Veda, my headstrong, chatty, and bright little girl.

My Style of Traveling: Off the Beaten Track, Nature, Local Art & Culture, Historic. I like to get away from the crowds and be transported to another time or world. That's why I'm interested in places off the beaten track, green and serene, "new-age," or historic. I believe to truly experience and appreciate a place, you've got to know something of it's history and it's people. It's important for Veda to appreciate the outdoors and her home--planet earth. So, it's a most welcome sign when she can be accommodated.

Hobbies and interests include: learning, reading, writing, hiking, music, historic buildings, antiques, forests and trees, compassion, awakening and enlightenment, Buddhism, Herbology, gardening, camping, classic films, dancing, historic California, road-tripping, traveling, meeting interesting people, ...too many to list.

I'm a respectful traveler looking to expand my horizons and share in the human experience.

Thank you for considering me as a guest in your home.
