I love living in a farmhouse and like to share the experience with others.
Great location and super helpful hosts. We were very grateful for the helpful tip to take the train to Rome instead of driving, and were escorted to the train station by our lovely hostess. We were also able to take the back gate and walk up to the city of Orvieto, which was a great experience all by itself. The place itself was spacious and lovely, great stay overall!
Alberto and Francesca were wonderful hosts, so kind and very accommodating, and they have a great house situated so well in Orvieto. Alberto met us at the train station and brought us up to the house. It couldn't have been any easier. We had a very comfortable room, perfect for our family with 2 young boys. The boys loved to run around in the yard (zipline!) and the hike up the hill to town was a fun adventure for them. The breakfast was also very good. It's about a 10 Euro cab ride to/from town which we used only after dark. Our first night we got lucky and Francesca happened to be going up there at the same time so she offered a ride with her. Orvieto is a cool town and 7 Piagge is a great place from which to explore it. We would love to come back when the pool is open!! It was a nice relaxing trip.
This place is awesome! The hosts are so nice and so accommodating. Breakfast was so good. Grounds are beautiful. Highly recommend!
We had a lovely stay at Alberto's - a beautiful oasis that sits on the cliffs below Orvieto. A great place to explore Orvieto and you can walk up there from his farm. Alberto grows everything and shares it on the breakfast table and if they cook dinner for you. It is really lovely and although close to the A1 you dont notice this at all. The kids had a brilliant time on his flying fox and kids play area complete with a cubby house! Awonderful place to unwind and experience Orvieto as a local.
Now that we have returned from our once in a lifetime vacation to Italy - it is safe to say that our stay with Alberto and his lovely family was the best part of our trip. And that's saying a lot. We had other amazing Airbnb hosts - but none so completely care taking of our every need as Alberto, and especially is daughter, Francesca . From the moment we arrived very weary from our trip from the States (our flight was canceled so it took two days) - We were treated like royalty! Alberto and Francesca prepared a delicious dinner (you need to let them know you would like dinner) and served fantastic wine and then desert wine and followed by an incredible breakfast each morning - and we were so tired - we just sat by the beautiful pool after strolling though their small vineyard, olive trees, fruit orchard and vegetable garden- I'm not kidding. It is a garden paradise there. And then - to be right at the base of the 1000 year-old walled city of Orvieto. We didn't have to get back in the car for two days! The hike up to the city was totally doable - even with bad knees and Orvieto was our favorite of all the Tuscan medieval cities. The room was very comfortable. The beds just right - very clean - spacious bath and very quiet. We were just so happy with our stay - and hope to go back!! You will be so happy you booked with this Airbnb! Don't hesitate!
Wow!!! This place is amazing! I have traveled quite a bit and this is one of the nicest places I have stayed. The hosts are absolutely wonderful as well! They are the most hospitable, friendly and caring hosts I have met. It felt like I was visiting old friends. They picked us up and dropped us off at the railway station, answered any questions, fullfilled any requests we had, let us eat from their garden and were pleasant conversationalists. When we plan to return to Italy this place will be in our itinerary again!
What a delightful stay we had at Alberto's. It is a very well run bed and breakfast. The room was clean and comfortable, the pool was refreshing after our hikes to Orvieto, and breakfast on the outdoor patio treated us to home-grown tomatoes and just-picked peaches. Alberto's suggestion that we visit Civita di Bagnareggio sent us off on a wonderful day-trip to that medieval village. Alberto and Francesca cooked two evening meals for guests while we were there and after the first, we didn't want to miss the second! Each course featured the fresh produce for the day. As we were traveling by train, Alberto graciously provided transportation to and from the nearby station. Grazie, Alberto, we hope to return!
Fantastico!!! This stay was our ultimate Italian experince. The host Alberto and his extended family were most gracious, sharing with us the productof his wonderful garden. The breakfast, which was not advertised as included, was sumptious to say the least. The beautiful pool was a welcoming spot at the end of the day. To sum it up, the family, their respect for the land, and their philosophy of living was an insperation to us.
Response from Alberto:
merci beaucoup pour votre avis généreuse.
In April I spent a weekend in Alberto's amazing farmhouse and Bed& Breakfast.
The charming 7 bedrooms Italian Villa is located between the hills, I remember I enjoyed frosty cappuccinos and tasty homemade Italian food while contemplating the beautiful olive trees garden and scenery.
I also got used to a lovely a morning swim in the adjacent swimming pool
The large room I was sleeping in was very clean and offered all modern comforts.
I genuinely feel in love with the place and I hope to go back again with my friends.
